Massive brush fires that raged across Long Island over the weekend may have been caused by someone trying to cook s’mores for breakfast.
Residents in Center Moriches/Manorville tried to start a fire in their backyard around 9 a.m. Saturday to cook up the treat despite heavy winds, officials told ABC 7.
The cardboard ignited and the flames spread to the backyard – and although the blaze was extinguished, embers sparked three other fires near Sunrise Highway, the outlet reported.
The fires tore through the area through Sunday before they were knocked down by emergency responders from more than 90 fire departments and EMS crews.

Maybe Hochul will copy California and find a liberal judge, sue the electric company and use the funds to fund “climate” initiatives and the Democrat party crony-network.

S’more’s usually means children are involved . They obviously have limited parenting ability.
Another smores related atrocity. Starts with the stupid name, disgusting commerically made marshmallows, and ends with this. A natural progression
I wonder how many people alive today have ever had homemade marshmallows...
Sees is a historic candy maker here in the Western US. Had theirs for the first time a few years ago. What a revelation! Nothing like the gunk that is commercially sold by Kraft and the like

I thought Long Island was fully paved.
We went camping over the weekend. Got down to mid 20’s at night and was very windy. Mid 30’s in the daytime. There was burn ban and with the wind there’s no way I would have built a fire anyway. We survived just fine. I frequently don’t build a fire when I’m camping.
