The Supreme Court on Wednesday temporarily blocked a judge's order giving the Trump administration an 11:59 deadline to release billions of dollars in U.S. foreign aid.
Chief Justice John Roberts said the order issued by U.S. District Judge Amir H. Ali will remain on hold until the high court has a chance to weigh in more fully.
Ali had ordered the federal government to comply with his decision temporarily blocking a freeze on foreign aid, ruling in a lawsuit filed by nonprofit groups and businesses. An appellate panel refused the administration's request to intervene.

Correct. The SC just slapped down the lower Court’s attempt to block President Trump
Maybe it’s a case of someone sleeping with one eye open and no excuses accepted!
Robert’s did the right thing here.
What about all of the other bogus cases where judges have overstepped by interfering with the constitutional actions of the executive Roberts is globalist woke scum.
All those other cases are in line.
Robert’s is a squish, but he did the right thing here. I think he will do more in the future.
It’s been only 6 weeks. Be patient.

/s/ John G. Roberts, Jr.
Chief Justice of the United States
Dated this 26th day of February, 2025.
They’re over 30 court cases with injunctions against the administration and Robert hasn’t done squat. KMA fool.
Boomer creep says what?
I still think there is a bigger play evolving from Team Trump. This ability of federal judges to issue nationwide orders is a relatively new thing and has really ramped-up since the left started waging lawfare on Trump. Now with dozens of suits and injunctions I think they will pick a case and push it to Scotus arguing that the country cannot allow this nationwide injunction power of a single judge to go unchecked. And that will be like kryptonite to the left, their last vestige of power will be gone.
Correct. Very rare.
Roberts should have done that on his own without being forced by Trump.
If they don’t do more to stop this unconstitutional black robe lawfare, we should just inform the USSC that they are no longer needed since they are no longer useful.
...for a change.
Agree. If anyone needs to be investigated...
Slow yer roll. You are reminding me of those who, 24 hours after Trump took office, complained that inflation wasn't conquered yet.
Slow the f down.
I think the AG office should make appelate motions to have the cases of all these judges making nationwide rulings be bundled together in one Court with a minimal number of district Judge(s). Then anytime a new one pops up they can immediately file motions (with precedents set) to get those combined and TROs squashed until they get reviewed by all more streamlined process. And it’ll also be an opportunity to make sure the district judges with conflicts-of-interest are weeded out and forced to recuse themselves while preventing the Children/Drugs/Sex Trafficking Sanctuaries’ lawyers abusing the system to protect their criminal activities through judge shopping.
BTW a big thank you to Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, Fani Willis, Alvin Bragg, Peter Strzok, Robert Mueller, and others for all the hard work they did to train Trump the past 5+ years for the activities he’s needing to accomplish in the year 2025. I don’t think that Trump would be working as hard and effectively on what’s needed to be done for America if not for all the training they gave him to be such an expert on the judicial system. Thanks for your help folks getting Trump ready.
We need a judge with a pair to be Chief Justice, not
GREAT point.
The general precedent is that paradoxically the federal courts can block presidential (executive) actions; HOWEVER, the *cannot* compel a president to act (writ of mandamus).
It goes all the way back to Marbury v. Madison (1803).
In this case, it means that just because congress appropriated money, the courts cannot compel it to be spent on its intended purposes.
