A Maine Republican says that her state’s transgender athlete policy is so “extreme” that it will cost the state millions in federal funding.
Maine Republican state Rep. Laurel Libby is blasting Democrat Governor Janet Mills for refusing to obey President Donald Trump’s Title IX rules banning transgender athletes in girl’s sports or risk a loss of federal education funding.
Maine’s Principals’ Association maintains that its state rules take precedence over the new rules written by Donald Trump’s administration, and the state’s schools will continue to allow transgender athletes to compete in girl’s and women’s sports, Fox News reported.

I don't see the problem. Too damn bad.

Maine is a poor state. The loss of federal funding will be felt deeply. But their governor doesn’t seem to care about that.

What’s extreme? You have this two hundred pound hulk beating up on a hundred pound girl and this is competition? The adults who think this is okay are totally mindless.

I think there’s some misunderstanding based on the title, she’s saying the Governor’s policy is extreme, not Trump’s.

President Trump will have to call up the National Guard to fight this insurrection, protect the girl students, and enforce US laws.

Genesis 5:2 - He (God) created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
Someone hand the governor a Bible. We are God's creation. He is the One in charge.

Why is the feral government funding states anyway? It’s not the government’s responsibility to help fund the states in any way, shape or form.

Correct. I must learn to read more carefully.

They’ll be fine. Maine has trillions available to fight the Fed government and pay all of their bills without help.
See you in court, governor.

Hey, state choice (and they voted for it), which is the way we are supposed to be anyway.
I like the idea that the states have the choice, and if they don’t comply with the federal orders, they lose any federal support.
We shouldn’t be reliant on the federal government for anything anyway.

“Maine Republican”? The only one in the state or the only one with a set that has dropped?
To: ChicagoConservative27
Maine, here’s the deal, ditch the b***h, follow the rules, and millions will be yours. No? Suck it up and smile.
To: ChicagoConservative27
I hate the word "extreme". Both sides use it, and it is the product of political consultants. It means nothing. It does nothing. No one changes their vote because someone in the other party calls the opposition "extreme". I am also sick of the hide-bound consultants running the Maine Republican party. Maine is a basically conservative state, and they have been run over by ranked-choice voting and non-citizens voting in elections. LePage, (who was hated by the mainstream Susan Collins Republicans that control the Party) knew what it took to win, and Poliquin beat Golden, but was pushed out by ranked-choice.
The Maine Republican party screwed it up because they are run by the Stupid Party wing.
