She’s puts the “blaze” in trailblazer!
The first female FDNY Deputy Chief ever was promoted Friday, as top brass hailed her for “shattering the glass ceiling” in the male-dominated field.
Battalion Chief Michele Fitzsimmons — a 24-year veteran who joined the Bravest a few months before 9/11— was named Deputy Chief of fire operations at a packed promotion ceremony in Queens.
“I hope that other women who are in the department now can see themselves rising through the ranks,” Fitzsimmons, 55, told reporters after the event at at Queens College. “I also hope that young girls can see themselves as being firefighters.”

I remember Joan Rivers saying she hated that glass ceiling &^&*.

People will likely die if she’s not qualified.

Not DEI at all.
After the event, Fitzsimmons’ wife, Dianna Fitztola, said she’s thrilled the FDNY values “diversity.”

She hopes “other women can see themselves in her.”
Yep DIE hire, absolutely guaranteed she is unqualified for the job and will prioritize gender and politics above peoples lives and competence.
New York deserves to keep getting what the voted for, people will suffer and worse through your choices.

So she had carried those hoses up 100 floors, done everything else an equally qualified man has done?
To: ChicagoConservative27
I wonder how many limp bodies she carried down a ladder?

The ground-breaking comediennes found ways to the top by exceling in the craft in ways that took advantage of their sex. Joan Rivers could never be Bob Hope, but Bob Hope could not be a funny gossipy bitch, Don Rickles comes closest, and he couldn't pull it off either.
Lucille Ball, Phyllis Diller, Gracie Allen, Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore . . . none of them mimicked the men. And except for Mary Tyler Moore none of them even had to be shockingly gorgeous (Lucille Ball could have been for a while, but she didn't really go in that direction). (Phyllis Diller was the antithesis of that, and she wisely played it for laughs).
