Trump’s DOJ to toss NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ historic bribery case, agrees with Dem charges were politically motivated by Biden admin over migrant crisis

The Justice Department ordered Manhattan prosecutors Monday to dismiss the historic bribery case against Mayor Eric Adams — siding with Hizzoner that the charges by the Biden administration were nothing more than politically motivated and hampered his ability to combat the migrant crisis in New York City, The Post has confirmed.

The new DOJ under President Donald Trump instructed the Southern District of New York to dismiss the case without prejudice, meaning charges could be re-filed in the future, sources said.

“You are directed, as authorized by the Attorney General, to dismiss the pending charges” against Adams, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove wrote in a letter obtained by The Post.

The letter notes “independent reasons” as to why Adams’ case was being tossed — including that the case was retribution for him speaking out against the Biden administration for its handling of the migrant crisis.

“It cannot be ignored that Mayor Adams criticized the prior Administration’s immigration policies before the charges were filed, and the former US Attorney’s public actions created appearances of impropriety…”

Trump is building a rather interesting coalition. And now it looks like Mayor Adams might be part of it.

That’s bound to upset the Democrats. Which means it’s a good thing.

I think that President Trump is doing the right thing in this case. It will speak volumes to those who think he is not just and unbiased.

Even thought the Mayor of NYC is probably as corrupt as can be, THIS CASE was obviously retaliation from Barak Obama ( Joe Biden)

We all know Joe Biden hasn't been in charge his entire Presidency!

Adams will remain a democrat but he definitely owes one to The Donald.

In addition, it only strengthens the argument that Garland was the most corrupt AG ever. Biden even claimed that Hunter’s prosecution was political which only helped our side.

Also shows how the Democrats operate. Used tactics against Trump a Republican and now against a Democrat.

Eric Trump or Donald Jr. should run for Mayor of NYC.

Adams’ problem now is getting the Rat nomination.

He wouldn’t be the first to switch to the Republican Party, Bloomberg and John Lindsay did it.

The case only appeared after he started talking common sense about crime.

I think the end game is Adams can be an asset in eliminating the Illegal issue in NYC.

This makes him more willing then before to assist ICE, if he wasn’t already.

He wasn’t always a democrat.

It’s near impossible to win on the R ticket these days in NYC...unless you run for Staten Island Borough President or house rep :) We’re the odd borough out.

BUT he’s not by any stretch of the imagination a conservative.

His views on abortion are horrific.

It’s hard to call him “better” than what we’ve had lately because of his stance on that.

And saying “besides that” sounds so tasteless.

But....he is to the right of the rest of the dems in nyc on most issues.

His anger against the illegal insanity has been barely concealed for years now.

He was gonna be in trouble one way or the other with the byedone administartion sooner or later.

Dem charges were politically motivated.

Same thing can be said about all the judges trying to stop Trump for firing people but he holds the aces with one word Inefficiency.

It won’t be out in the open... but does anyone else think Adams had made a deal to help with deportations?

I do.
