U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said late Monday that El Salvador’s president has offered to accept deportees from the U.S. of 'any' nationality, including violent American criminals now imprisoned in the United States.
President Nayib Bukele “has agreed to the most unprecedented, extraordinary, extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world,” Rubio said at a signing ceremony for an unrelated civil nuclear agreement with El Salvador’s foreign minister.

Bukele confirmed the agreement on X, saying in a post, “We are willing to take in only convicted criminals (including convicted U.S. citizens) into our mega-prison (CECOT) in exchange for a fee.” “The fee would be relatively low for the U.S. but significant for us, making our entire prison system sustainable,” he added.

The prospects of being locked up there are a powerful incentive to self-deport.

Sounds like a win-win for all involved.

Worth taking a look see at Cecot Prison...... they will find zero comfort there.
I’ve read quite a bit about it....it defines what a prison should be.

Bukele knows how to deal with criminal gang members. It’s worth it to pay him to imprison violent illegals. We should be grateful to him - this guy is not only a good leader of his nation, he’s proving to be a friend to our nation.

El Salvador = The savior of American sovereignty.
Rubio has been excellent as Secretary of State, so far. With Trump's emphasis on a pre-1917 "Monroe Doctrine" type of foreign policy, I think Trump wanted a Spanish-speaking senior diplomat to consolidate support and compliance in Latin America and the Western Hemisphere, or America's "sphere of influence."

'Cecot' was built in just seven months and opened in January 2023 to hold up to 40,000 inmates. For security reasons García does not disclose the exact population, but he concedes that between 10,000 and 20,000 inmates are currently housed here.....capacity is for 40,000 inmates,..... CECOT is the largest prison in Latin America and one of the largest in the world by prisoner capacity.
The lights are on 24 hours a day to control inmates’ movements.....The warden reiterated that special treatment is off the table. Family visitation is not allowed. In fact, there are no visitations at all, due to the criminal profile of each inmate. “These are criminals, psychopaths, sociopaths inside terrorist structures. The worst of them are here,”......
Inmates are locked up all day. They only leave for 30 minutes for a walk through the main hall wearing hand and feet cuffs. The only activity they can do inside their cells is reading the Bible, but that privilege is not for all.

President Nayib Bukele:
We have offered the United States of America
the opportunity to outsource part of its prison system.
We are willing to take in only convicted criminals
(including convicted U.S. citizens)
into our mega-prison (CECOT) in exchange for a fee.
The fee would be relatively low for the U.S.
but significant for us,
making our entire prison system sustainable.
