Here we go... Syria 2.0
Got to keep the MIC in business.
Not sure how this is good for us either
Why?
If we’re going to assist in destroying Iran’s nukes this is a good move.
“Why?”
Simply because war is very profitable.
Don’t worry folks. No child or grandchild of a Bush, Cheney, or Romney will ever set foot there. Only YOUR children will go there to fight their wars.
And Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren, and their children and Grandchildren. It is a project of perpetual market creation with zero concern for human lives.
“If we’re going to assist in destroying Iran’s nukes this is a good move.”
Do they have nukes? Do you actually think that as long as Russia is backing them we are going to go destroy anything at all?
No, that is a “boogieman under every bed” psyop. Exactly the same psyop they used to take away all our rights after 911.
Mission creep.
“Mission creep.”
Don’t worry, let the Leftists have their fun for another month sticking us in the middle of huge Tribal Conflicts in the Middle East, but once Trump purges the Neocons from DC, our boys will quickly be leaving that neighborhood
“Mission creep.”
Yep... Any protest from the establishment GOP? Nope, they are all in. Ooh Rah, give me a war!
Always looking after their MIC stock profiles as a priority.
No Neocon here, but better us than Russia. It would be a bad idea if Trump had not won. Now we have more leverage and Trump and Israel can push for an independent Kurdish state, who are a relatively good ally (considering this is the middle east) and a mortal enemy of Syria, Turkey and Iran. With Israel tempting annexation of Druze communities in the south, the more friendly territory the US and Israel can carve out of Syria the better. Assads fall signed the death warrant for the last few hundred thousand Christians in Syria. A defined Kurdish territory will help checkmate Turkey taking over northern Syria. Remember our great ally Turkey is the sole reason ISIS was ever able to come into existence in the first place. By not openly opposing Turkey and playing they are a NATO ally ruse, allows us to have influence on them without pushing them completely into the arms of Russia. Again, not a warmongering neocon here, but US presence in the control of a competent administration can be a good thing. All these little bases that we have in the countryside were there under Trump to deal with ISIS. Somehow Trump was able to avoid mission creep at that time.
I wouldn’t make that assumption.
Not buying this one for a second. We don’t have any relations with the new Syrian government. And we don’t actually have troops nearby. Could be Kurds using equipment they’ve gotten from us to help in Iraq. Or just plain made up BS which 90% of the internet.
how else are we going to give $billions of arms to the latest bunch of islamists if we don’t have bases there!
With Israel bombing the country at will, and US forces moving in, will Syrians decide maybe Assad wasn’t so bad after all?
So it’s an illusion that gaza has been flattened, Lebanon have accepted a ceasefire and Syria’s military infrastructure is being destroyed?
That is NOT our war...
