So retailers will now raise the price of e-bike by $2,500. Got it.

Why in hell should I as a taxpayer be FORCED to pay someone for buying anything.
My BIL, whose income is double+ mine is on his third overpriced electric car (I couldn’t afford one if I wanted it) and has collected $6K or $7k for each one of them from those of us who can’t afford $65k+ vehicles of any kind.
Thoroughly disgusts me. Yes, he and his wife are full blown lefties. Voted Obama, Clinton, Biden, Biden. Hate Trump passionately. His wife said to me, “what doesn’t everyone buy an electric car” aka let them eat cake.

His wife said to me, “what doesn’t everyone buy an electric car” Your reply should be "Everyone is buying them but only the privileged are taking possession".

I had a neighbor buy one a few years ago. He got rid of it because of the speed he would be traveling down the road where car drivers would turn in front of him going left or they would make a right turn while he was trying to pass or they would pull out of a driveway or side street in front of him. Riding a bike of any kind is basically just waiting until you get into an accident with a car or truck. Or you could make bad judgment and fall onto the road way.

The only ones I see riding them are illegals. It’s another freebie for them.

There is no such thing as a maximum debt ceiling in California. Debt is just a number. A debt that doesn't have to be paid down, is no debt at all.

The air resource board said a portion of the incentives are set aside for priority applicants-- those who live in a disadvantaged or low-income community or have an annual household income at or below 225% FPL. Keep an eye out for a flood of e-bikes on Craigslist.
