As a female ranch kid who still lives in the country, I can assure you that farming/ranching does not require a macho dude-all the kids in my family-male and female learned to drive the tractor and the ranch truck by 11-12 years, as well as learning proper animal husbandry for chickens to cattle, etc. A widowed aunt-my mom’s sister-ran her small goat ranch until the year she died-at 98...
Lots of jobs need a guy to do them-but farming/ranching is not one...
She’s not going to be raising chickens or cattle. She’s going to have to make decisions, sometimes hard one’s about policy and politics, which require mental toughness and cold logic uninfkuennced by emotions..
As a general rule women tend to be too easily influenced by emotions and often that drives their decisions.
Women have a lot of wonderful qualities but being tough leaders is not one of them.

If she didn’t know how to raise livestock or crops, then she is as useless as tits on a boar hog in any AG job, no matter how logical-she would be unqualified for the job with no practical experience. You also need to be able to barter and sell your products-hence, logic and emotionless dealings are not male exclusive. I happen to do a job that does not allow emotion, or ignore logic-it is not unusual. You apparently don’t know many sensible, strong women-like female FReepers...

Actually I married one, but she’s not crazy about having a lot of women in leadership positions, either. You better choose one that’s already been put through the ringer and made it through fine.

2) Food Stamps should not be in quickie mart beside allcohol, tobacco , junk food. The big impact is the cost of Medicaid. Alcohol, tobacco, junk food is a major cost of preventable cost of Medicaid. If you want to be a drunk that is your choice. But I don’t want to be your enabler.
