The LA Times came under fire last month after it did not endorse a presidential candidate
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
I remember 2016 how the NYTimes said they were going to travel to Middle American to better understand Trump voters. That never happened.
It will only last a few months
“It will only last a few months”
Perhaps, but what might also happen is that if the LA Times starts writing some positive stories about Trump, they may start to capture back some of the 90% or so of their subscriptions that they’d lost for being so hyper-Leftist. And if that happens, then the owner would understand (finally) that it’s a good business decision to simply print truthful articles, rather than trying to advance an agenda.
It’s interesting how Trump people met with Bezos space program company leaders the day he decided to not endorse.
Maybe there are common interests for the billionaire who owns the la slimes and business to be had.
I dont try to guess if or when Trump is up to anything.
He’s far too smart and shrewd for me.
We will see what happens.
The leftists will try to speed up the demise of the L.A. Times(paper news sadly is on its way out) if the paper goes with fair and equal varied opinions.
The owner paid 500 million for the paper....goodby, 1/2 a bill., either way. If owner wants to have viable newsPAPER he should be a muckraker reporting on corruption in LA
politics, and homeless-political industry complex, and report the waste of tax money. Then He would sell papers.
damage is done close the doors
For how many years was only one voice heard?
Perhaps someone like Liz Cheney will provide the conservative Republican voice.
I remember one year, G.W. Bush was giving the State of the Union address. One network turned off the sound to his speech, saying that we’d heard it before, and it was nothing new. Two commentators talked to each other instead, with the video of Bush in the background.
One commentator was from the left and the other from the right. The leftist attacked Bush. The conservative, Pat Buchanan, attacked Bush. So, there you have it. Both sides were heard. What could be more fair?
OK, so you own a business that is hemmoraging cash. The business has lost reading customers in droves. (they got old and died)
How do you attract new reading customers that attract advertising customers?
Reduce political polarization is a step in the right direction
How ever, since the very concept of a newspaper is obsolete so all efforts will be in vain
I am very impressed that they will all a Trotskyite or two to join the Stalinists on the editorial board.
Forward!
Lol.
I probably shouldn’t have made the post since I don’t recognize Los Angeles as stipp being America.
LA doesn’t need a watered down news paper, LA needs Zorro
I have been joking that the Democrat Party is about to be the only worker’s revolutionary party in all of human history to have no actual blue collar workers in it.
:-)
This is what the media has been doing to “conservatives” since the 1960’s...I believe Trump was quite aware of the practice...he exposed the media as false...they couldn’t keep his name out of the news so he got free advertising. I believe all his name calling, and “nasty comments” was a way to keep the media from ignoring him..
Remember how they ignored Dole and McClain and Romney.
Trump was spot on regarding the false and socialist narrative of the news. I hope he has killed their MO forever.
It happened a little. But every article had the “Jane Goodall observing apes” vibe.
Leftists are incapable of balance. They label counter argument as disinformation or misinformation and they want actual authority to crush the “lies” and “liars”
But it lasted a few weeks and then it was back to normal as though nothing happened. The same will happen here.
Liberals do not want to learn. They want power. Period.
Looking for RINO who will crap all over Republicans... so brave!
“Papers” are obsolete, and bad for trees. People get their news from online now, and there is no compelling reason to get it from local, far-left activists with poor grammatical skills.
Trees are a crop. They are raised to be harvested and sold. Newspapers have made timber a thriving crop. Large insurance companies have about 10% of their holdings in timber. Harvard's endowment had about that much too - but don't tell the students or they'll want the school to divest.
They will now cover the entire political spectrum from Lenin to Stalin.
