Her work in starting the war was not insignificant either. It was that raid on Harper's Ferry that convinced the South they could not live in peace with the North.
Planned and supplied the attack on a Federal installation. I believe that is "Insurrection."
Seems like they were against "insurrection" back in those days. I guess it depends on who was doing the insurrecting back then.

That’s an interesting and fair point. Tubman did play a hand in John Brown’s raid on Harper’s Ferry.
But had that raid not occurred, would the Civil War have happened anyway? Most probably, although compromisers might have delayed it for a year or two.
Tubman was in pain and ill much of the time, due to a fractured skull in childhood.
Sorry, it’s an insult to those who served.
I don't know. I've read that the raid shocked and alarmed the people in the South, because at the time, in many states, the slaves outnumbered the white population, and they all knew of what happened in Haiti.
Also, a massive massacre of white people is exactly what John Brown (wool merchant) had in mind. He literally wanted to create a slave army to go around killing white people.
So the South was terrified that what Brown was trying to do, would happen, especially with all the agitation by the fanatics in the North like Brown.
Hard to say how extensive was the impact of Brown's attempt, but I think we can all agree it moved the South in the wrong direction.
Might have been a chronic problem that caused her to beg off going on the raid.
But that is somewhat hard to reconcile with her repeated forays into slave territory to free people. One would think her troubles would be just as bad on her own individual raids as they would have been on the John Brown raid.
I suspect she didn't see it turning out well, and wisely chose not to go.
Yuck! What a disgrace. She was never a sworn member of the military. What’s next, make Malcom X an Admiral?
She apparently had intermittent seizure-like spells, which she called ‘sleeping spells’, and which have been interpreted by some to have been a type of narcolepsy.
Silliness
When I read the headline I for sure thought it was the Babylon Bee. And since she’s a general do her relatives get dozens of years of back pay?
She was a serial felon
Thank you for the accuracy and description of the true person being touted. Marxists have to push their wedge issues at all times— to keep up the fabrications.
The State of Maryland has a LOT to answer for. But then, Lincoln put the entire legislature of the day into prison to prevent their voting on Secession (which they were going to do thus surrounding the Military District of Columbia on all sides. In retrospect, these were troubling times, and should have been resolved without violence. That is another story for another time.
Thanks again for shining the light into the faces of poseurs on this site and public people for the lies they continue to exude. The light looking for honest people, a worthy cause.
This is just plain silly.
Ernestine Martin Wyatt is Tubman’s great-great-great-grandniece. She seems to be involved in several different projects to commemorate Tubman and preserve her story.
Bingo!
A DEI appointee took all the credit for what Schwartzkopf actually did.
"This note, which is one of many notes of its kind, is legal tender, in terms of what we as a people accept as currency, for all debts, which are monies that are owed to others, public and private, including student debt, credit card debt, taxes, fines and penalties, bail, and all the other debts that are burdening everyday middle class Americans like me."

Yes- learned that from Schwartzkopf, and also Colin Powell got in on the act— the silliness about the “mile of death” keeping the assault from going into to capture Saddam then.... instead of holding back and, notably allowing helicopter flights for Iraqi thugs to slaughter the marsh Arabs (who were the largest group of Shiites in the country, not a threat to Saddam at all).
We would have avoided the needless Iraq II (because there would not have been a threat against daddy Bush for GWB to concoct— and still not capture Bin Laden. Because he would rather do what he did and obama and so forth— paid protection money to Iran to keep bin Laden there in Iran. Where. he. died. For real permanent dialysis).
Col. Tom Parker. He helped songwriter Jimmie “You Are My Sunshine” Davis become governor of Lousiana, and Davis appointed him an honorary colonel in the Louisiana State Guard (which had been disbanded the year before).
