There is no doubt that President-elect Donald Trump has won a sweeping victory, becoming only the second U.S. president to be elected to a second, non-consecutive term in one of the most remarkable political comeback stories in American history. But his victory in the Electoral College would’ve been even bigger if two factors hadn’t cheated him out of the additional votes he should have received.
Why do I say this? Because of the jarring errors the Census Bureau admitted it made in its population numbers for multiple states, and its unfair inclusion of aliens in the population used for congressional apportionment. That inclusion dilutes the votes of U.S. citizens, distorting representation in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the Electoral College.
Let me explain.
First, the costly errors. In 2022, the Census Bureau issued a report in which it announced that a post-census survey revealed that its count was wrong in 14 states. It undercounted the populations of Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas, while overcounting the populations of Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Utah. The errors ranged from a low of 1.49% to a high of 6.79%.

Of course the slaves didn’t benefit from the extra representation, that is why the north didn’t want to count slaves at all (contrary to the idiots who decry the 3/5th compromise as demeaning to blacks). My point was that the census is required to count all persons, not all citizens.
I agree with that reading, but at the time, but for their skin color, slaves would have been citizens. It's understandable their inclusion was intended as a result of the 14A. But counting bodies without consideration of their legal status can't be in the spirit of what intended in the 14A. There is no rationale for giving illegals representation in the government of this country. I hope Trump's administration finds a way to get this to the SC for a definitive determination.
by counting the slaves however, the slave states increased their representation in the house.
I don’t know how free blacks were counted, but I’ll assume they were. As for getting SCOTUS to rule than not counting non-citizens is Constitutional, I really doubt they’d do that. It would be overturning 250 years of how the census is conducted.
And then there’s the practical aspect. As it is, just getting a reasonable accurate count of people is apparently next to impossible. Imagine if the census workers were required to establish the citizenship of each person in the tally.
Easier by far to deport the people who are not here legally.
Democrats cheat. On everything. They cheat when it’s not even necessary to cheat. It’s in their blood, the same as lying. The same is true for their enabling media.
By the way, most media are refusing to update at least one race for the House because they don’t want to admit the GOP in on track to retain the House. Democrats stole some of the House races. Just as they stole the race from Lake and are trying to do for McCormick.
For instance. in Colorado 8 District, GOP candidate Gabe Evans has won. Yadira Caraveo called him and conceded yesterday afternoon. Neither 270towin, Decision Desk, or the NYtimes has updated their sites to show the win.
I swear in some races, mainly California, the Democrats have just stopped counting because they don’t want to announce that the GOP has won some of those races.
Okay. I’ll stop ranting now. Returning to your regularly scheduled discussion on the lying cheating Democrats.
For those seeking to change the current population standard for apportioning the seats in the
House of Representatives, there appears to be at least three possible choices. First, and most
obvious, amend the U.S. Constitution. Second, use the citizen population in the redistricting
process to geographically define the congressional districts. Or third, change the apportionment
law to adopt an apportionment formula that, when used with the total population, mimics the
apportionment distribution that occurs when using the citizen population.

Your problem is that the Constitution apportions the House based on the number of PERSONS.
Whatever SHOULD be, the counting of PERSONS is what is the law.
Yes, the 14th Amendment would need to be revised.
The Constitution stipulates that the “enumeration” is of “persons,” not only citizens.
Changing that requires amending the Constitution.
Sobering numbers.
But, you see, random errors and accidents and math errors in the Census Bureau population of over 6% that only favor the democrat blue states and counties are simply .. well .. “accidents” and “random errors”.

Here is the latest update on the House numbers:
We are nearly 1 week past the 2024 election and the balance of power in the US House is still not officially called.
You can thank the Democratic vote-counting policies in the western states.
Current tally [218 needed]:
🔴 REP: 216*
🔵 DEM: 209
*CO-8 not officially called, but the Democrat in that race has conceded. GOP essentially at 217.
This requires a new Amendment.
This requires a new Amendment.
If it’s “persons” to be counted, we’d better be working overtime to deport illegals.
