WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department unsealed criminal charges Friday in a thwarted Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump before this week’s presidential election. A criminal complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan alleges that an unnamed official in Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard instructed a contact this past September to put together a plan to surveil and ultimately kill Trump.

Iran is on the record for stating they want to avenge Soleimani’s death by taking out Trump, and they have already demonstrated a willingness to carry out assassinations inside the US before.
It isn’t like this is some preposterous, out of the blue idea.
this makes my head explode. We have massive leverage over Iran and they continue to bite our ankles.
Take out all their oil reserves at the same time we start drilling. Bring those rag head mullahs to their dirty knees.
Assassination attempts on our leaders are acts of war...PERIOD.
That is expected from Iran, however, I was referring to the FBI, not Iran.

Funny how they made these arrests after the election when you would think they had at least some knowledge about it to be able to do something so close to the election….
I wonder if this is real or part of a cover story….

Soleimani was killed at the Baghdad airport by US Global Hawk missile. That was some time ago and left only a ring on his finger as evidence.
So- point is, this is nothing new, and the fibbies finally doing their job has no real history of the investigation— to the extent they can reveal their sources. What can be assumed is that the intermediaries of info on Iran’s plans is no doubt the Mossad/Shinbet who are NOW willing to talk directly to Trump counterintel people (as opposed to the morons who clung to biden and company- who are all anti-Israel). So our true friends in the ME, being Israel and their other signatory partners to the Abraham Accords (now revived) are providing good intel on the Iranian psychos. Remember the direct attacks on Hezbollah and Hamas leadership— one in particular taking out the main leader in Tehran at his “protected” condo. That was some seriously well organized operation at the ground infiltration level. It was not as the Iranians tried to cover up, a laser guided bomb- it was a long installed remote bomb. As is likely the fate and truth of the under mountain Iranian nuclear facility now- flattened from the inside.
We uh, haven’t heard from the very “french” Jean Kerry’ on his nuclear deal with Iran. The dude is silenced— mute in horror of what is known about him. And, good riddance to him.
To reiterate— not saying it is preposterous— it is revived and moussed up “new” info which exposes the bias of the fibbies who covered up the Butler attack. We will soon know how much they f’d up the “investigation” into one of their own loonies- and mystified the public with statements about his encrypted messages they couldn’t break???(give me a break- the best cryptanalysts in the world, along with NSA).
