Wisconsin voters approved amending the Wisconsin Constitution to prohibit local governments from allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections, amid national debate over the issue.
The Associated Press called the race shortly after 9:45 p.m., with the "yes" vote holding a commanding lead.
There is substantial evidence that it’s rare for foreign citizens to vote illegally, both in the United States and in Wisconsin, and current law already bans non-citizens from voting in Wisconsin elections for state or federal offices.
But Republicans sought to rewrite part of the state Constitution to also make sure only U.S. citizens may vote in local elections, such as those for county boards, school boards, city councils and mayors.

If illegal aliens aren't voting, then the left shouldn't have a problem with this. Right?

Why? It’s un-Constitutional to begin with.

Poll workers should all be over age 70. Less likely to be affected by the vote as they’re gonna be dead before the others. They may have a stake in their granddaughters abortion but that’s about it. They have plenty of time as they don’t do much. Make it required like jury duty.

to prohibit local governments from allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections
Now it is up to the local people to enforce the laws as our Founding Fathers intended.

We need a federal law for federal elections that voters MUST be eligible citizens. Every State needs to be bound to this law.

WI Republicans also maintained their majority in the legislature despite maps favoring democrats.

With ease (as I suspect you know), since many if not most states typically and intentionally avoid asking whether an individual is a foreign citizen or even an American citizen when registering to vote.
It has been the practice of many states for decades to allow any mere resident (perhaps established with a water bill) to register to vote in both state and federal elections.

(If close to 1/2 of American voters will vote for Kamala, we have problems geater than any election.)

Why do we even need such a thing?
It used to be self evident.
WARS have been fought in this country over who’s a citizen. When did it become “anyone who happens to be hanging around”?

We need a federal law for federal elections that voters MUST be eligible citizens. Every State needs to be bound to this law. That is the first irony of the issue. Such a federal law has been on the books for some great amount of time. I will let you confirm that on you own.
That law itself should be the basis for the Jan6 Special Session to reject the election certificates of any state that does not require documentation of citizenship of voters. That is the second irony.

I understand how they claim that. However, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
