Exit polls suggest President-Elect Donald Trump won the Catholic vote by a whopping 15 points, the largest margin in decades.
According to a Washington Post exit poll, Trump won the national Catholic vote Tuesday by 56 percent to 41 percent. Similarly, an NBC exit poll found that Catholic voters favored Trump in 10 key swing states by a 15-point margin, with 56 percent of the vote going to the former president and only 41 percent going to Harris.

We told Kamala it was a big mistake to shun Catholics.
Papa Francis woke up this morning speaking in Spanish so his handlers wouldn’t know that he was cussing.
Maybe nominating the most overtly anti-Catholic candidate since Woodrow Wilson wasn’t a great idea ...
The 41% that voted for Kamala committed grave sin.
Yes, but I have my own problems :)
And I’m glad the numbers are at least climbing over time.
It wasn’t many elections ago where Catholics went majority D.
Then slight majority R
Now nice sized majority R.
I’ll keep working on the rest...or at least the fellow catholics I know who didn’t vote.
The ones who voted D, I’ll have longer chats with them
Bingo!
Bingo!
I have the impression that Francis and now this campaign by the democrats have energized many of the more religious Catholics to be more vocal and active in connecting voting and politics, and government to the reality of the biblical struggle of good and evil and that they are waking up some of the more complacent Catholics who go through the habit and the routine of being Catholic but don’t make the connection between their Christian faith and how they vote.
We really need Hispanic Catholics to realize that just doing the cultural church routines and then voting democrat is contradictory and not an expression of their living faith, a more vibrant Catholicism be a powerful force and we need it desperately as the democrats are creating their counter version of Christianity with “Evangelicals for” and “Catholics for”, and with denominations falling to a Sodom and Gomorrah version of church with lesbian ministers, gay power, abortion, etc in the name of God and Jesus and voting for the anti-God left .
I think the real movement is probably Hispanics most of whom identify as Catholics.
Maybe snubbing the Al Smith dinner and having one of your surrogates mock one of their sacraments with a dorito chip wasn’t such a great idea after all.
Correct. White Catholics have been about as Republican as White Protestants for a long time. What dragged the numbers down were Hispanics who were recent arrivals. Now they are coming around too.
I said a while ago that Democrats imported a whole bunch of Hispanics to try to rig elections but these people’s values align much more with us than with them....and if they started voting Republican instead of Democrat and this whole idea blows up in the Left’s faces, I will laugh and laugh and laugh. I must say, I’m laughing pretty hard today.
A needed rebuke for their commie Pope.
I agree with that. Objectively, voting for any representative of the sodomite abortionist democRAT Party is a matter of grave evil. Culpability is a matter of the extent to which the individual has been propagandized. BUT ... this is not a matter of invincible ignorance. The truth is available, and not hard to find. Heck ... these freaks PROUDLY PROCLAIM their lust for "acts contrary to nature" and baby-killing.
Where’s all the “zomg the Catholic Church is soooo liberal and Catholics are totally owned by the Democrat Party and love socilaism and blindly do what their marxist Pope tells them to” crowd of evangelical protestants today?
::crickets chirp::
BTW, Exit polls show nearly 80% of American Jews voted for Kamala. Pro-Israel, my butt!
Let’s call Catholics who voted for Kamala what they are, apostates.
Liz Plank cost Witchmer any chance of ever running on a presidential ticket.
Then again, Witchmer just stole the Senate seat back, and is holding up the call for Trump to deny him a complete map that will show his landslide.
Karma is an evil bitch, and that evil bitch has more karma coming...
Protestants, and especially Evangelicals are probably thrilled that this time they got a little help from Catholics.
56% isn’t exactly massive support from the Christian denomination, it is an improvement though.
I’m in the choir with them.
