Obama 2012 campaign manager Jim Messina said on MSNBC Sunday that the Harris campaign is concerned over early voting data which shows Republicans gaining ground in battleground states compared to 2020.

I don’t get it?
Thank you .... I was gonna have to .....

Ditto. Minus the wife as I’m single.
Harris is the worst candidate Democrats could run-way worse than Biden. Why isn’t Trump beating her handily?
Eh. I can explain. But it is what it is. Hope Trump wins on Tuesday.
The numbers on Tuesday are going to show a President Trump rout—and one reason will be because Kamala was a horrid candidate.
Trump has a hard ceiling of 48.5 - 49%. With a weak candidate like Harris, that should be just enough to eke out a win in the Electoral College. It’s too bad he’s not in the low to mid 50s, but 47-48% of the electorate despise him. I’m pulling for him to pull this off on Tuesday. That being said, DeSantis would be leading Harris 55-42 if he were the nominee.
The mass media would have savaged any Republican candidate.
Everyone looks fine until the bullets start flying for real.
O vw we start mentioning NY, and I live here, people stop taking us seriously.
Me, I just want 280 or 290
I’m not greedy:)
DeSantis took a swing state (Fl) and turned it ruby red in 2022, in an otherwise down year for the GOP. He could do the same nationally, if given the opportunity.
A Republican in the modern mass media environment gets tested to an insane degree—and there is just no way to see how they will do until they get the full blast of the heat—for weeks and then months at a time.
They will be called fascist, Nazi, racist—and if they play defense at all they will be crushed.
I think Vance has proven he has the smarts and toughness to do it.
I have my doubts about most other names being discussed.
It takes a very strong constitution to be able to handle it when people are slandering you 24/7 for months at a time.
I think the people are very angry and that they will turn up with an angry vote in big numbers like they already have. Not so much the dims, they are motivated by the usual, fear. Hard to say which is more motivating.
If we let them stop counting on election day in swing states with Trump winning and come back the next day with Heels Up winning we deserve to lose.
“That being said, DeSantis would be leading Harris 55-42 if he were the nominee.”
Depends on the kind of campaign DeSantis would have run and if he survived an assassination attempt. Also who he picked for VP. The press would have been as viscous and unfair to DeSantis as they are to Trump.
Trump’s core supporters will crawl to the polls over broken glass if necessary. No other candidate, including DeSantis, in has enjoyed that kind of loyalty.
I like DeSantis as a Governor. When he does that he shines. When he ran for POTUS, he lost his sparkle. Maybe it was bad advice, or nerves. As Governor, he is commanding and seems very competent.
DeSantis seemed over his head on the fundraising issue—got all tangled up by trying to pretend his staff was not co-ordinating with a Super-Pac when they were obviously doing so.
That is a correctable error for the future—but if he were the actual nominee the Democrats would have destroyed him over it.
Is he ready for that kind of heat? That is highly debatable.
