Bret Baier: 4 Kamala Harris Staffers Frantically 'Waving Their Hands' Forced Me to 'Dismount' at End of Interview

A word-wrestling confrontation that marked the end of Bret Baier’s Fox News interview with Kamala Harris was cut short by her staff, Baier said after the interview.

Baier was pressing Harris about her position on the Middle East as he indicated he was being told that the interview had reached its end.

“They’re giving me a hard wrap here,” Baier said at the end of the testy exchange with Harris,

“I’m talking to like four people, waving their hands like, ‘It’s gotta stop!” Baier said

“I had to dismount there, at the end,” he said.

The ending capped an evening in which Baier believed Harris and her team brought gamesmanship to the interview

“It was a little tense. We were given the time of 5 p.m. ET. Obviously my show is at 6 p.m. They wanted to tape at 5 p.m.,” he said.

“We said we were going to tape as live, in other words roll the tape and just turn that around unedited, uninterrupted, but we had to do it before 5:15, otherwise we couldn’t turn the whole machine around before the top of the 6 p.m. show,” .

So we were waiting at 4:55, and then 5:00, and 5:05 and 5:10,....

Oh yeah, totally. Actually, my view is that regardless of who wins the election, the next 4 years (and possibly the next decade or far more) is only going to get worse and worse. UNLESS a true statesman (regardless of Party) emerges, steps forward, and somehow brings our extremely divided nation together. I hope that happens but I have serious doubts it ever will.

Unless someone like that eventually emerges, the division in this country will continue to worsen. We're at the point now where Republicans say kamaLa is a communist/fascist/socialist (I'm one of those who say that, that there's no question about it) while Democrats say Trump is Hitler (which I think is an absolutely nonsensical claim). Those are serious charges against both parties and I don't see that dynamic changing anytime soon.

Add to that the fact that a growing number of Republicans (actually RINOs such as Dick Cheney) are "endorsing" kommieLa. And Democrats such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr and Tulsi Gabbard are endorsing President Trump. It's only going to get even more confusing as we move from this election to the next and the next.

Sorry to sound so pessimistic but it seems clear to me ... except the part about a true statesman someday emerging to bring our nation together. OTOH, maybe after President Trump's second term, the insane Democrats will be cured of their TDS. But by 2028, they'll probably develop a new severe case of VDS (Vance Derangement Syndrome). Who knows.

A future American division will be totally different than the Civil War because Republicans & Democrats are inter-mixed among each other in every state, county, city, town, local neighborhood, and even within probably most families across the nation.

I see we joined about the same time. I've been asking this very question since before my time on FR.

I'm now 62. Four lower back surgeries, three knee surgeries and more broken & surgically repaired bones than I care to list here, I'm still ready, willing, able --- and waiting to go.

If the Democrats manage to steal this election, our country is lost. Then what?

How long are men of good character going to sit on our asses?
