The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Thursday that it may have killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, after a body was discovered that closely resembled him in the aftermath of a battle in the Gaza Strip.
Sinwar was the architect of the October, 7, 2023, terror attack, and became the overall leader of Hamas when Ismail Haniyeh was killed in Tehran, Iran, in late July.
In a statement, the IDF said:
Initial report โ During IDF operations in the Gaza Strip, three terrorists were eliminated. The IDF and ISA are checking the possibility that one of the terrorists was Yahya Sinwar. At this stage, the identity of the terrorists cannot be confirmed.
In the building where the terrorists were eliminated, there were no signs of the presence of hostages in the area. The forces that are operating in the area are continuing to operate with the required caution.
More details to follow.

The Holy Prophet Ezekiel says that “God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked”.
But I rejoice that for Sinwar there will be no recidivism.

The rat came out of his tunnel and blowed up real good. Hurray for Israel. Again.
If not, there’s still another 2.1 million members of Hamas to deal with.
I would imagine they have some signals intelligence that would point in this direction as well; Someone down the chain of command wondering why Ya Ya doesnโt write to them lately.
Couldnโt happen to a nicer guy.
Good news!

It is always a leader who’s killed. So many leaders it like swatting flies. Everyone seems to be the leader.
Maybe now the war can be ended soon—on Israel’s terms!
And maybe the agitation on our leading US university campuses can go away soon.
