...The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Sunday unanimously approved Illouz's bill, which would bar Israeli officials from having "any contact" with UNRWA or anyone acting on its behalf. All the committee members also voted to advance a related bill that would revoke UNRWA's authorization to conduct "any activity, either directly or indirectly," on Israeli territory.
Lawmakers from both coalition and opposition parties cosponsored the bills, combining a slate of previous proposals...
Last week, Israeli foreign minister Israel Katz barred Guterres from the country, citing the U.N. chief's failure to "unequivocally condemn" Iran's missile attack on Israel a day earlier. Guterres has said the Oct. 7 attack "did not happen in a vacuum" and has repeatedly condemned Israel for civilian deaths in Gaza.
...national security considerations have come to trump such doubts over the course of a year of war in which UNRWA and Guterres were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Israeli critics have charged that UNRWA, an internationally funded agency that has provided aid to Palestinians for decades, perpetuates Palestinian grievances and violence against Israel by treating generation after generation as refugees, teaching anti-Semitism and jihadism in its schools, and collaborating with terrorist groups.
A flood of revelations linking UNRWA to Hamas has hardened Israeli attitudes toward the agency. In August, a U.N. investigation of UNRWA partially confirmed declassified Israeli intelligence indicating that 19 UNRWA-employed Gazans participated in the Oct. 7 attack. UNRWA fired nine of the employees after donor countries temporarily suspended funding. The U.N. probe did not publicly address additional Israeli findings that thousands of UNRWA employees were Hamas or Islamic Jihad operatives and that the agency appeared to be "assisting Hamas with securing humanitarian aid" meant for Gazan civilians.

Hey, this isn’t about anthropology or archeology…
We should not discount the Israelis allowance of muslim arab populations in their judicial and political arena as a factor in the UN betrayal of their national security interests. Those people are not above transmitting military intel to the UN which has become an alliance of western culture enemies. The Israeli judicial and legal infrastructure needs to be compartmentalized away from the military to prevent that kind of espionage.
UNRWA is basically a stealth terrorist organization from the Godless Reprobate UNited Nations - (by recent evidence)
Great Thread Civ!!! Indeed, the enemy does have U.S. and Israel surrounded, as anyone paying attention knows.
Well, if the UN continues in the same manner as it is presently, it may soon be that the organization will be of interest only to historians and archeologists.
Sunken Civ is just ahead of the game!
Bump
I applaud the move. Kick the enemy out.
My friend was a cop who would work around the UN when meeting were held in the US in NYC
He said prostitutes were called there in droves, as well as narcotics and other, even crazier things.
It’s like an out of control frat party for “delegates”
It is well past time to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.
This crime syndicate has no place in today’s world, other than to perpetuate misery and hate.
Raid the UN building and seize all electronics before they can “sanitize” them.
Than close them down and demolsh the building
Of course we won’t do that
The UN needs to be disbanded. Its a feces nest of diseased sub humans
If so, I'd like to see it become a ballot proposition.
“It is well past time to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.”
Might I suggest the UN moves its headquarters to a more peaceful locale, say Mogadishu?
Before or after the No Bells Piece prize.
My guess is, the next major story will be Israel's preemptive strike on the Iranian/Houthi staging area.
That move will be part of an Israeli deal with the Gulf states to get clear airspace for the strikes on Iran.
While we wait for that, I'd be surprised if there isn't some major sabotage event on the ground in some facility/facilities of the Iranian occupying mullahcracy.
That’s about what I would figure
Israel is turning their office building in Jerusalem, into apartments. Nice.
