The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is supposed to be the government’s premier emergency relief organization in times of disaster, like the situation now faced by victims of Hurricane Helene’s aftermath in North Carolina and Tennessee.
But according to the FEMA website, the agency now places higher priority on instituting Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity guidelines than on easing the suffering of Americans displaced by disaster.
Among the goals listed in FEMA’s strategic plan are to:
-Instill equity as a foundation for emergency management
-Lead whole of community in climate resilience
-Promote and sustain a ready FEMA & prepared nation
What does that look like in action?
Here’s an example of a FEMA disaster preparedness meeting where participants discuss how LGBTQIA individuals were suffering disproportionally before the storm compared to other disaster victims.
Notice how the focus shifts from doing the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people to ensuring that they are promoting “equity in disaster relief.”
FEMA released a document in 2023 titled “Equity in Disaster Relief” – Achieving Equitable Recovery: A Post Disaster Guide.
Among the aims of that document is an explicitly stated goal to ensure “equitable” distribution of aid.

This has been going on for some time. Only welfare and immigrants got help so far for Almeda wildfire 4 years ago. They decided my catastrophe funds are a loan 3 years after! I paid it but they still take money from my social security checks every month. I was told if I had a $70,000 mobile home I had to sell it and repay.. those who rented got brand new $200,000 mobile homes!

These idiots in government seem to think the money they can allocate is “government money”. Wrong. It is “we the people” money, from us for us. It’s beyond tiresome that they believe it is theirs to do with as they please.
If a human needs disaster assistance you don’t ask what intersectionaly bonus points they have before giving help.

One day, their ‘equity in disaster aid’ will turn into equity in disaster death. Saw a Star Trek episode once where two worlds were fighting but no actual weapons were used. Two war computers played and each one hit and a designated casualty count was issued and those in the areas play-hit reported to death chambers....
Here and now, all FEMA as to do is ignore areas they think are too equitable.

I watch a YouTuber and he helps in disaster relief and when the Kentucky floods happened he went there and he said that the Red Cross would not help white people.
Any good conservative already knows that the Red Cross and the government have some kind of quid pro quo and somebody runs off with a lot of money not including those involved in the disaster they get left behind.

I had to drive 4 hours to find a bed. I went to an emergency center near Eugene and was told I was in the wrong county by Red Cross and FEMA. The illegal aliens in front of me got everything they wanted.
BTW..Red Cross is on the border playing welcome wagon.
From the leftist point of view, disasters are great opportunities for wealth redistribution. At this rate, just a matter of time until any benefit is means tested.
