Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved Friday’s airstrike on Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon, from his hotel room in New York City prior to his speech to the United Nations General Assembly.
The Prime Minister’s Office released a photograph that it said showed Netanyahu approving the massive airstrike. The massive attack targeted Hezbollah’s underground headquarters in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut.
It was not clear at the time of the photo’s release whether Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had survived the attack.
Netanyahu apparently delivered his address knowing that the attack was under way. He cut short a press conference after the speech when a military aide whispered in his ear.

That would sure make the strike a huge success
Wanna piss off the libs? He should have approved the strike from Mar a Lago.
Yup....after decades of listening to US foreign policy jerks, all this demonstrates what SHOULD have happened long ago!
Mazel tov!!
Doing everything they can to get the United States dragged into their war. The Israelis released a photo of Netanyahu in America, ordering the strike. There’s no other possible reason for them to release such a photograph.
A nice rebuke to the United Nothing.
The United Abominations.
“Doing everything they can to get the United States dragged into their war.”
Hezbollah has been at war with us since the 1980s. You should know that.
L
Oh please!
This is entirely Israel’s actions - and justified, after all the missiles Hezbollah has fired at Israel
On the fear-mongering scale, that’s a lame 0.5
I agree. And, I wouldn't be surprised if Netanyahu next announces Mossad stopped an assassination attempt on POTUS45.
It appears Netanyahu is going for more than US money and munitions --- and moving on to US blood.
The hotel ought to advertise it, and charge extra just for the privilege of staying in the same room. LOL
Hasn't Israel been at war with the Palestinians since 1967?
Since 1948.
Now thats room service !!!
Orders the hit on Hesrallah then gives a speech to UN.
Balls !!
Was that US ship in 1967 that Israel “mistakenly” attacked, in fact spying against Israel for the Arabs in that war?
BiBi told the world today “You don’t f*ck with Israel”
Did he also leave our checkbook and key to our munitions closet on the table?
We are already involved. America has been targeted by both Hezbollah & Hamas.
Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil, whom Israel says was killed on Friday, was wanted for bombing the U.S Marine barracks and embassy in 1983. Hezbollah Killed More Americans Than Any Group Except Bin Laden.
On October 7th, Hamas terrorists murdered nearly 1200 people, including over 40 Americans. Hersh Goldberg-Polin, was an Israeli-American whose courageous parents have actively drawn attention to his story and the plight of all hostages. Before Israeli forces recovered his body, he was one of eight living or deceased American hostages still in Hamas captivity.
Before the October 7 massacre, Hamas had been responsible for numerous large-scale terror attacks over the last four decades, resulting in the deaths of American citizens. The U.S. designated Hamas as a foreign terrorist organization in 1997.
Notable examples include the 1995 Kfar Darom suicide attack carried out by Palestinian Islamic Jihad using a bomb designed by Hamas engineer Yahya Ayyash that killed eight people, including American Alisa Flatow, and the 1996 Jerusalem bus bombing, where American students Matthew Eisenfeld and Sara Duker were among the 26 killed.
During the Second Intifada (2000-2005), a violent Palestinian uprising, several Hamas suicide and bus bombings resulted in American deaths. Notable attacks include the August 9, 2001, bombing of Sbarro Pizzeria in Jerusalem, which murdered Americans Malka Roth, who was 15 at the time, Judith Greenbaum, who was pregnant at the time, and Chana Nachenberg, who died in 2023 after being in a coma for over 20 years; the 2002 Hebrew University bombing, which claimed the lives of five Americans: Marla Bennett, Benjamin Blutstein, Dina Carter, Janis Coulter, and David Gritz; the June 18, 2002, bus bombing in Jerusalem, where American Alan Beer was among the 17 victims; and the March 27, 2002, Park Hotel bombing in Netanya during Passover, which killed several Americans.
