PEX saved me the cost of a plumber. The copper compression system is nice though, I have watched videos of a plumber based out of NYC , he uses that system. According to him , customers always ask for more than they’re willing to pay for. 😂
The damn things can be refilled with a simple coupling, pair of pliers, and a big tank turned upside down. Create a refilling station for them. I can do it at home.

I didn't and moved out. Unfortunately, the same people who destroyed CA are moving here and destroying my new state. They apparently have difficulty figuring out cause from effect. Soon everyplace will be like CA, with nowhere else to move to.
Hahah they aren’t “single use” I refill mine all the time.

I checked again and the nearest recertifier is 50 miles away. I could buy new tanks for not too much but, as I said, I just want emergency propane. Maybe I’ll throw them away or cut them in half and use the bottom halves for a planters.

Our case is different — much different.
And ALL damage (we have had very little) is the renters responsibility as they purchase insurance and they are responsible.

I refill my 20# tanks at Tractor Supply where they check the date on the tank. (They rust internally and the weakening cannot be seen from the outside)
If a tank is too old they will NOT refill it.
So I take it to Walmart where they do NOT check the date, but merely swap tanks with you. (I assume the refill company checks the date at it’s location.)
I get a newer tank for WAY less than buying a new one.
