Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) on Sunday defended the city of Aurora as a diverse and growing place with declining violent crime, after former President Trump attacked the city and the governor personally at a rally on Saturday.
In an interview on CBS News’s “Face the Nation,” moderator Margaret Brennan noted the Trump campaign has frequently pointed to Aurora as an example of the worst of the migrant crisis, and on Saturday, he took aim at the city and the governor once again at a rally.

I wouldn’t believe Polis if he told me water was wet.
The Springs is conservative compared to Denver/Boulder.
Polis is the guy who said it was a lie that Venezuelan gangs took over an apartment complex even though there was video - claiming it was a falsified claim just was just people’s imaginations. I’m sure the “moderator” pressed him on this and confronted him with his remarks in light of the video proof, right?
Aurora can be a great city - that doesn’t mean bad things aren’t happening there that shouldn’t be.
👍
Thanks, didn’t know who he was beyond that role and Hollywood character actor of the day.
Picture also works as “City Manager of Springfield Ohio asserting all is OK with having 20,000 Haitians suddenly appear.”
Aurora has NEVER been a wonderful city ... has always been crime-ridden ...
Great city for weed smoking and Venezuelan gangsters.
Does the governor live in Aurora?
Good diversity is blondes and brunettes.
I was in Aroura recently and I was appalled by what Buckley Space Force Base looks like. The trash is piled three feet deep along the fence on Sixth Avenue.
They should rename “Centennial State” for “Ostrich State.”
UGH!!!
Here’s a question...
Do Aurora’s PD and its county Sheriff report their crime stats to the Feebs?
Inquiring minds want to know...
I worked in Aurora for six years. I beg to differ.
A complete blasphemous mockery of Judaism.
I’ll say.
