A former FBI agent told Fox News Digital that there was "a clear mental illness component" that motivated would-be assassin Ryan Routh to take aim at former President Donald Trump on Sept. 15.
Before he was charged with two gun-related crimes in a Florida court on Monday, Routh, 58, had more than a hundred interactions with police between the 1980s and 2010.
His prior charges range from writing bad checks to felony firearms possession, possession of a stolen vehicle and multiple counts of possession of a weapon of mass destruction in 2002 — specifically, a "binary explosive with a 10-in[ch] detonation cord and a blasting cap."
Retired FBI Supervisory Special Agent Scott Duffey told Fox News Digital that Routh's frequent run-ins with police, combined with his social media persona, were indicative of "someone who is constantly trying to poke somebody and see what their response is going to be."
"It's not only a lengthy criminal arrest record, but for several decades," Duffey said. "You have this escalation of violent acts, and then, of course, other contacts with police like driving without a license. Those are not violent acts, but they are constant contacts with police. That tells me that over the past few decades, whatever was going through his head, he wanted to be in contact with law enforcement."

What I wonder about is where he gets his money to do these things? He has to eat and live somewhere...not counting the times he spent in prison. As for that, he never seemed to have spent a lot of time in prison. I wonder if he is some sort of black -ops special skills asset that is a little mentally loose...but they keep him out of prison because when he is needed to perform, his worth outweighs his deficits!

In 2013, I was alone in Honolulu Airport, barefoot, snaking through the TSA line in order to catch a connecting flight home. I had a plane to catch, so I let her touch me, but there was nothing there but me. No one will argue that the events on 9/11/01 necessitated new security measures, aspecially at airports. Finally, as the Famine dragged on, they became indentured serfs in order to survive. Seven Years is a long time. Twenty One Years since 9/11/01 is even longer. I think it's time to defund the TSA and stop harassing Elderly Veterans, Widows, Handicapped People, and Nuns.

Routh has every indication of a CHS (Confidential Human Source) or equivalent. At a traffic stop, he 'barricaded' himself in a business because he needed to get to a phone and delay for time to contact his FBI (DoJ, CIA...) 'handler' to intervene and get him off the hook.
My guess is that he has crossed a red line by becoming a presidential candidate assassin. He was smiling and joking with his lawyer because he thinks that he will be set free on this one - like always. The only problem: he is blown now. Any serious operator checking his history would see this repeating pattern and suspect the reason.
