The man whose teen son is accused of killing four people at a Georgia high school asked a judge on Wednesday for protection from fellow inmates due to the “incalculable number of threats” he faces behind bars.

Colin Gray is being held without bail after he was arrested and booked on suspicion of second-degree murder and manslaughter, for allegedly allowing his son, Colt Gray, access to the weapon used in last week's bloodshed at Apalachee High School.

Gray needs to be separated from other inmates being held by the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, his lawyers Jimmy Berry and Brian Hobbs wrote.

No big surprise here. His son, Colt, did something horrible and incredibly stupid, since one of the kids Colt murdered was Hispanic and the other was black. That pretty much guarantees either one of them pure hell in jail, and a possible ending like Jeffrey Dahmer.

They need to put him alone in a cell with a rope and a ceiling hook.

They did this intentionally, just like they did to the J6 arrestees. Wrong then, wrong now.

Hopefully he gets raped....like J6 arrestees?

What a human rights country. Mothers kill their own children and both candidates and a majority of its people loudly support it.

That should be in a Trump speech somewhere.

Normally I would disagree with you, as there is nothing wrong with a normal teenager having access to a rifle. I certainly did when I was 14. Heck, Uncle Sam gave me a rifle and grenades when I was 17.

But this kid had a troubled history and made threats to his school, which makes all the difference in the world.

My Dad kept all firearms including my .22 rifle locked in his gun cabinet 24/7. At 14 I only had access when he was with me to go out hunting or target practicing.

There’s a big maturity difference between 14 and 17.

We had a shooting range at our high school. Guys would bring their rifles to school and get excused during hunting season. No one got shot. Guns don't kill people. Weirdo transvestites do.

The man's problem is that he let the kid have access to the rifle after having his son talked to by police about the kid's violent threats. The kid was a weirdo who was "transitioning". He tried to look like Farrah Fawcett. Fail, fail, fail. The man was a bad father. By the time the son started dolling up like Farrah, it was too late.

I graduated from a downtown HS of a major city in 1980 & can remember having my shotgun in the window wrack of my pickup.

Our ROTC group had a .22 range in the basement of my high school in 1980.

Actually yes. It has happened.

They were informed repeatedly that he was driving illegally and recklessly. When he finally had a deadly accident the parents were charged.

This is the equivalent.

We sure do. If the son made previous threats that he was gonna run over someone with that car and Dad still lets him drive it - Dad goes to jail too.

pssh. You went to a poor school.

My high school had a dedicated ROTC building with a state of the art shooting range and we used M14’s.

1974.
