GOP senators express frustration with Trump’s performance at debate

Senate Republicans are feeling frustrated and disappointed by former President Trump’s debate performance and his inability to resist taking the bait from Vice President Harris on side issues such as people leaving his rallies early.

GOP lawmakers fear Trump’s irate rants onstage will be the main takeaway for many undecided voters who tuned into the 90-minute debate, and some senators are hesitating over whether Trump should even agree to another one.

GOP senators are also distancing themselves from Trump’s false claim that he won the 2020 election, which he repeated Tuesday evening.

And they feel bewildered by his wild claim that immigrants are eating dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio, which came in response to a question about why he opposed a bipartisan Senate bill to secure the border.

“She was well-prepared and she didn’t have to keep repeating the same thing,” said one Republican senator, who requested anonymity to vent frustration about Harris’s solid performance and Trump’s lack of discipline.

“Everybody says: Be more disciplined. It’s just not him,” the lawmaker sighed.

Ha!

Thus safety the corrupt nit-wits that brought us a debt of 35 trillion (and rising fast).

They don’t have the moral authority to take a dump on their own shoes.

Trump should have gone independent long ago.

Bring on MTG for Veep, along with the 11 other republican patriots to be in his inner circle.

Everyone else makes up the UniTreason Party.

I think it’s time for the Republicans to follow the democrat lead and dump Trump like they did Biden after his poor performance. I further think a good replacement would be Mitt Romney. /sarc/

It’s the Hill spreading more manure.

As I presumed there would be more and more fallout from the debate against ABC and Harris as emotions settle down and logic sets in. The only way the left can compensate is to just make more stuff up. But who knows, maybe a handful of RINO’s did make statements.

Do you agree with these anonymous lawmakers?

They named murkowski and I sure as hell don't agree with it. It has already said it isn't voting for Trump anyway.

Those attacking Trump are intentionally trying to help Harris.

Anonymity = Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, Mitch McConnell, etc.

She needed to flesh out a policy agenda a for indices. She failed, and the panels were NOT happy. Trump hate doesn’t fix the Border and the Economy. They may not like Trump. but they liked living under his Presidency. Trump also succsessfully tied her up Biden.

I do not agree with the lawmakers, some of whom at least were NOT anonymous (e.g. Tillis, NC). When one of them claimed not to know what the eating of cats and dogs was about, that means he is not doing his job. Unfortunately, murdered children has moved into the realm of statistics. Chicago has plenty even discounting the illegal aliens.

When you mention the eating of cats and dogs, it is about more than eating cats and dogs. It is about people whose manner of existing and whose moral code is so different from that of most American citizens, that an entire picture is painted that is summarized by “eats cats and dogs”.

Kristi Noem had a great record on COVID, and was better than many on most other issues, but everyone knew that when she talked about putting down dogs who had it coming, she took herself out of the VP stakes. Romney’s dog on the roof of the family station wagon likely cost him a point or two among people who vote with their emotions and may have cost him the election. Cats run the Internet. It is a winning issue for encapsulating what a DISASTER open borders has been.

Okay, wait a minute.

The Trump message is NOT ISSUES. It is the Swamp. It is elitism eradication. IT IS POPULISM.

There are no issues. $36Trillion precludes the existence of issues. There is only Swamp filth and dismissal of all those who generated the $36T.

This BS ongoing about laying out a clear array of issues and talking about the issues is INTENDED TO LOSE.

The correct talk is about Swamp filth. It is about elitism.

And it is not about the debate. It’s done. Should never have happened.

Back to what matters. Erasure of the Deep State.

Trump had an off night. It happens. Nobody expected Kammie to exceed expectations. Doubtful Trump loses even one vote over it.

Know this, right now there are likely about 15 undecided voters left in the country. If you are undecided at this point you are most likely not going to vote.

This election just like 2020 is not about votes. Its about ballots.

Oh…..

Anonymous…..

From The Hill…..

The reaction of Democrats to the debate was predictable.

The networks could have shown a rerun of Gilligans Island instead of the debate, and the reaction from the Democrats would be the same.

We all know that Senator is none other than Pierre DeLecto who was bested by Obama, so he has no room to talk trash. I love how The Hill (fake news) states in the headline that GOP Senators express frustration with Trump's debate performance, but then only reveal one anonymously, only everyone knows who it was, and he is a big idiot, not to mention a traitor to this nation & her citizens as he supports Kamala whose party is openly claiming that the U.S. is a systematically racist nation.

Go away you worthless cuck.

I could say they were just stupid Republicans but they probably have an agenda behind their complaining.

Stupid because the debate has happened and time marches on. Water under the bridge, crying over spilt milk. Some want to rehash supposed mistakes to alert everyone to just how cunning they are to spot some misplay by Trump that everyone else missed instead of presssing on and help Trump win.

But with their complaining, they are probably trying to set up a plausible rationale for not supporting or helping Trump win.

BS. Trump crushed her. How do I know? She magically agreed to do a bunch of sit-down interviews for damage control.
