Kamala Harris Blames Trump for the Afghanistan Withdrawal That Happened Under Her and Biden’s Watch

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign tried to blame her and President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan on former President Donald Trump — even though it happened seven months after he left office.

The Harris-Walz campaign released a statement Friday that claimed, “Trump left the Biden-Harris Administration with zero plans for an orderly withdrawal — only a dangerous, costly mess.”

Trump had begun negotiations with the Taliban and reached a deal, but it had not been completed by the time he left office in January 2020. Biden — against the advice of his military advisers — decided to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan in September 2021, which prompted the Taliban to sweep into Kabul at the end of August 2021 and topple the U.S.-backed government in a surprise rout. The sudden takeover prompted mass panic and chaos as hundreds of thousands of Americans, foreign civilians, and desperate Afghans scrambled to depart.

The thing about Trump is that, whatever his stated policy, he is very pragmatic.

If she ever told the truth, it would be news worthy.

“Trump left the Biden-Harris Administration with zero plans for an orderly withdrawal” - This is a complete lie. They did, and Biden-Harris tossed it in the trash thinking they knew better,.

Ditzy dizzy broad. She needs to get a job at Disneyland.

She needs to get a job at the zoo, flinging feces at the wall to see what sticks. That's about what she does.

Dems NEVER take adult responsibility for anything. Bill Clinton’s forcing women to have sex with him was because “everybody’s doing it” and “all husbands are having adulterous affairs but haven’t been caught yet.”

Despite Democrats tearing down Wall sections and selling future construction parts for pennies on the dollar as scrap, slandering Trump for pausing immigration from known terrorist countries and calling him xenophobic for wanting released felons and child traffickers to be stopped at the border, somehow Trump is to blame because he didn’t agree with a preposterous Congressional bill to allow illegals amnesty and voting rights. That one stupid bill causes “Trump and his MAGA extremists” to be to blame for the 3.5 years of border crisis and illegals ruining the US?

And now Trump starting to make plans for a withdrawal is somehow to blame for the actual total Afghanistan retreat fiasco that resulted in American deaths, is somehow letting the Biden-Harris Admin. off the hook?

No way.

This is the original agreement entered into by President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Note the agreed withdrawal dates.

“Extract

On February 29, 2020, the United States signed an “Agreement for Bringing Peace to Afghanistan” with the Taliban. The agreement provides that the United States and its allies will withdraw all forces from Afghanistan in stages over a fourteen-month period and that the Taliban will not allow actors within its controlled territory to attack the United States and its allies. The agreement contains additional provisions with respect to prisoner exchanges, sanctions relief, and future negotiations regarding a permanent ceasefire and broader political settlement that the Taliban will pursue with the government of Afghanistan. On the same day, the United States and Afghanistan issued a Joint Declaration reflecting some, though not all, of the terms of the U.S. agreement with the Taliban. Over the three months following the signing of the U.S. agreement with the Taliban, the parties have implemented some aspects of its terms. But others remain unfulfilled, despite the passage of deadlines.”

A thorough review of the Afghanistan withdrawal plan follows. https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/american-journal-of-international-law/article/united-states-signs-agreement-with-the-taliban-but-prospects-for-its-full-implementation-remain-uncertain/DFCC3FA5EE12A575373BF5177C184220

"Trump had begun negotiations with the Taliban and reached a deal, but it had not been completed by the time he left office in January 2020."

IIRC, the agreement with the Taliban was completed. I remember reading that President Trump and SOS Pompeo telling the Tali-thugs if one American or Ally is killed or injured in the withdrawal, they would experience a "rain from above like never experienced"... or something to that effect.

“still” the word you are looking for is “still.” “Again” implies that at some point her lies ceased.
