Donald Trump’s nephew, Fred Trump III claimed Monday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that his uncle, former President Donald Trump, did not care about members of the U.S. military.
Trump said, “We spoke the last time we were here about how I had the honor of meeting Senator McCain.”
He continued, “This is a genuine hero. Let’s make no mistake about it. The fact that Donald called him, in essence, a loser, I don’t get it. But anyone who is disabled or anyone who he deems lesser than him is a loser, which, ok, that’s just the way he is. That ain’t gonna change.”

It was difficult for me to change my mind on him, growing up in a Navy family and serving under him, the chain of command mindset was ingrained deeply and at the time, I was loathe to criticize anyone who had served.
Well, I was wrong to have had that approach. He fully deserved condemnation.
McCain was a loser among losers.
He suppressed stories of POW’s left behind. Heard reports he received favorable treatment. Here is the story of him repressing stories

He who must not be mentioned is a looser….
McCain has as bad a record as Hanoi Jane.
Is that his alky brother’s brat?
“It was difficult for me to change my mind on him.”
I know... It happened to a lot of folks here. I watched the shift of opinion as it happened over a few years. Same with the sentiments with endless wars. Folks are waking up to reality and that is a good thing. But, unfortunately it may be too late.
Certainly a looser as a Senator.
Maybe he’s an alky,too?
“”was a loser who gave the other 4 Democrats in the Keating Five [Democrats] by pretending to be a Republican...””
AND.......what? Too much holiday celebrating going on here??
“”he did more for the chair force””
What??? Must be too much celebrating going here also!
“”I thought it was his nice””
Everyone put the bottle down before coming to FR......
I’ve been a soldier also. And McCain should have been thrown out of the military and would have been if his father had not been an Admiral. He used his military connections to keep him out of jail when he was involved in shady dealings in Arizona. He was a bum.
Thanks....Remember it - lived in CA when the S&L was taken down because of that....
Selling a book.
Didn’t McCain crash a plane kill a bunch and then vacation in Japan.
Several question marks still hang in the air concerning John McCain’s military record, and especially some of his “Hot-shot” antics as a pilot. These are all well documented, but because his father and grandfather were both admirals in the US Navy, his acting out was attributed to “high spirits” and approached cautiously by the US Navy JAG. HIs later actions while a POW of the Viet Cong are shrouded in concealment and a number of allegations, none of which were ever acted upon in any official manner. It was while he was being held by the Viet Cong, and received no timely medical treatment, that many of his physical problems that afflicted him throughout the remainder of his life were manifested, and in no small way probably affected his entire attitude toward legalities and ethical behavior.
This does not excuse or exonerate John McCain in any way, shape, form or manner. He refused to show the least degree of decorum or decency in many situations, and nursed grudges and blame in many quarters. A false sense of entitlement probably drove many of his public statements, and lent great credence to questions about his stability and judgment.
