Vice President Kamala Harris will apparently favor attacks on former President Donald Trump rather than “substance” at the September 10 ABC News presidential debate, according to a report.
NBC News reported late Thursday on Harris’s plan, which centers around trying to agitate Trump:
A source told NBC News that while Harris’ team is preparing to talk about a variety of topics, the campaign very much views the optics of the debate as critically important. To that end, the source said, Harris and her team are focusing on homing in on how to needle Trump to rattle him.
In that sense, the source said, it’s going to be less about substance and more about showcasing Harris as a woman who isn’t scared and isn’t going to cower and who is standing up to Trump and holding him accountable.

Very smart plan on her part, since she is wrong on all the real issues.

In 2020 Biden had 100x the name recognition as Harris does now. In 2016 Hillary had 100x the brainpower as Harris will ever have.

When someone calls you a rapist you uave to respond. I can see this coming. She will focus on him being s convicted Felon and liable for “Rape”. Trump’s instinct will 100% be to defend himself but if he can diciplin himself for 2hrs to, by and large, ignore the attacks this could be the absolute best thing for Trump. Prepare yourself to say, all of this is what happens when you weaponize the DOJ against your political opponent and the immediately pivot to, but that doesn’t close the border, that doesn’t lower cost. Prosecutors dont generally concern themselves with inflation and I can see this one is no different. Etc. Just stay on issues and she’s done!

I wish that you were on Trump’s debate prep team. JD Vance is an expert at this kind of pivoting after an attack question. Perhaps Trump can learn from watching him.

If Trump has a weakness it’s vanity/narcissism.
To beat him in a debate, getting under his skin is a good strategy.
