The Atlantic hurricane season has been surprisingly quiet. But forecasters say that won’t last.

Never, in the 20-plus years it had been issuing outlooks, had the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted so many tropical storms to develop in the Atlantic hurricane basin, with conditions across thousands of miles of ocean aligned perfectly.

“That’s the highest forecast that we’ve had,” Ken Graham, National Hurricane Center director, announced at the annual preseason media briefing in May. NOAA seconded the motion in its Aug. 7 update with a warning that the 2024 season “could rank among the busiest on record.” Every other major forecasting service was on board.

I’ve been paying attention to local weather reports due to fire weather and recently we’ve had a cooling trend (note: Just weather).

Notable among these reports is the language used which totally conflates cooling & warming. I can’t cite a specific quote, but it’s so blatant that it stands out. Total gobbledygook.

I’ve also been researching the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai 2022 eruption and I’m growing convinced that we may start to see this year the effects of all that additional water vapor making its way to the lower atmosphere, to include effects upon local & regional weather, possibly even more hurricanes (likely, imho).

I also expect that the climate hysterics will also latch onto such changes for every gaslighting opportunity.

Part of me wishes for a massive volcanic eruption to cause some global cooling just to put egg on their faces...

theres really only 2 weeks left of the prime season and they got it all wrong again, as usual. There is scientifically no way to predict how many hurricanes and where they will strike. Zero...none. Every few years youll get a late September or early October storm, but generally after September 15, it really quiets down. Seems that later in the year,the storms that do form generally stay on a more Southern track...more on the Central America coast.

Forecasters said this would be the worst season ever... And they forecasted the same thing last year, and the year before, and the year before that and so on and so forth ever since Katrina which happened back in 2005...

One year before Al Gore’s infamous movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ in 2006 that was full of falsehoods and pure conjecture... So obviously, because Al said Global Warming was ‘happening’ all the lunatics jumped on board and subscribed to his false and foolish claims that all weather events are a result of Global Warming... Then they changed it to ‘Climate Change’ after people called Al on his BS.

Ever since then, they have been forecasting the worst Hurricane season ever and so far their forecast have ended up being underwhelmed by reality. Global warming is supposed to bring with it more hurricanes, more tornado’s, etc., etc... These things are not happening with more frequency than any other time in our history... The weather happens and has been happening since the creation of this earth... And Mother Nature doesn’t recognize Al Gore, and it doesn’t recognize Global Warming.

Like it has throughout history... Mother Nature does what it wants, when it wants.

When we went 8 straight years without a significant weather event in Florida recently each year started with “expert” predictions of a big hurricane season.

I didn't think of that...I just pulled a lot of the things they say and stuck them in a word salad blender and it is nonsense, but doesn't sound any more improbable than the things they spit out.

By the way, that 200 year thing is actually not from them.

In Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truths" BS, they show a graph of average Earth temperatures over the last 100,000 years (or something like that) which they derived from tree ring analysis, and they match it up against CO2 levels for the same time frame (derived from ice cores from glaciers) as shown below in this screen capture:

This is what he said about the derived temperatures and CO2 levels:

:...Now, as I said, they can also measure temperature. Here's what the temperature has been on our Earth. Now, one thing that kind of jumps out at you is...well, let me put it this way. If my classmate from the sixth grade that talked about Africa and South America were here, he would say, "Did they ever fit together?" "Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."

But they did, of course. And the relationship is actually very complicated. But there is one relationship that is far more powerful than all the others and it is this. When there is more carbon dioxide, the temperature gets warmer because it traps more heat from the sun inside..."

His portrayal of this data was demonstrated to be an example of intentional deception, because if you expand the scale of the axis and then superimpose the two curves, the relationship was exact opposite of what they claim.

They claim that CO2 increases, and the Temperature increases after the CO2 goes up.

The reality is that as the temperature increases, when viewed on a large enough scale to see discrete years, the increase in temperature is followed, 200 years later, by an increase in CO2 levels.

The explanation for this behavior is that over that 200 year interval, that is about how long it takes for warming of the ocean, and as it warms, the C02 "outgasses" from the ocean, and causes CO2 to leave the ocean and enter the atmosphere, the opposite of what they claim.

It is generally regarded by people who understand this, that the curves were specially contrived to hide that "Inconvenient Truth".

The leading FL forecasts are always, “warmer water than usual.” The dust thingee is newer in the last 5 years.

This year there is less dust where I live. Less turtle nesting activity where I live, too. Forecasters/turtle counters will probably call it a, “record year.” And supposedly cooler water temps off of Africa.
