Black Californians warn Newsom of ‘direct impact’ on Harris after Dems kill slavery reparation bills

Black activists at the California assembly threatened a “direct impact” on Vice President Harris’ presidential campaign after state Democratic lawmakers held off on two bills that would have greenlighted slavery reparations.

Last week, the California legislature approved proposals allowing for the return of land or compensation to families whose property was unjustly seized by the government, and issuing a formal apology for laws and practices that have harmed Black people. But none of those bills would provide widespread direct payments to African Americans. After hours of heated debate and protests on Saturday, state lawmakers left out two bills – Senate Bills 1403 and 1331 – that would have created a fund and an agency to oversee reparation measures.

Giving millions of taxpayer dollars to people who don’t deserve them is insane. This is going to cause all kinds of chaos. Blacks will kill for a 400 dollar pair of sneakers. Indeed. At most, it will make some pro-reparations cretins decline to volunteer and decline to vote. The volunteers in other jurisdictions are a bigger threat to her. She’ll need them to cheat, and there is a possibility that Trump will attract some in Detroit or Philadelphia, and those on the fence can just stay home and not help the steal.

Slavery was outlawed in the California territory in the 1820’s when Mexico obtained its independence from Spain because they had already declared slavery unlawful.

When the US purchased Calif from Mexico in 1848 slavery continued to be outlawed as Calif became a “Free state” when joining the US.
In 1856 John C Fremont ran for president (From the State of Calif) with the abolition of slavery as his national platform and lost to Buchanan but, set the way for Lincoln to run on the same platform in the following presidential election.
So when idiots in California talk about getting reparations they know nothing of the state’s history.
