Hello all, long time no see! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our whole family feasted at my SIL’s family’s.
My granddaughter that lives in LA broke her arm, can’t work or drive, so made an emergency trip home to mom. She’s having surgery on Wednesday, going to put metal plate and screws in her arm. I had just gotten to where I can take a shower by myself and now my daughter has to help her shower. My daughter is calling this the convalescent home.
The week before my grandson hit a deer and got a bad concussion. The paramedics took him to hospital his 2nd day back to school because he passed out and hit his head. I had cooked a big lasagna dinner at their house last Monday, and the poor guy is suffering from nausea and can’t eat as much as usual. So he’s getting another MRI. And he’s normally a BIG eater.
I’m trying to adjust to this cold weather. I’m told it’s just getting started. I now have a renewed respect for all you FRiends that live in the north. It gets cold in Texas but it doesn’t last that long.
My health is soso. I finally got my overdue CT scan yesterday, still have other things to catch up on. I’ll do geed with my PT exercises, then get bust and slack off.
Proby takes his job of keeping me warm very seriously. I can’t sit or lay down without him getting right in my face, lol.
I sincerely hope all here and their families are doing good. I know mentally I’m doing better knowing Trump I President elect. And he’s not waiting to start solving problems! He’s putting together a team that aren’t deep state. Just hope Joe doesn’t start WW3 before January 20.

You are welcome. Thank you for asking. I feel slightly worse today, actually. I’ve reordered some sore throat medicine that ALWAYS works, should be here any time now. Trouble is, this med is quite high in carbs. At least it tastes good.
Rusty, I hear you regarding having a winter place and a summer place. I always said I would love to have a summer home in Ontario Canada, and a winter home in the tropics. Somehow I would still want to be an American citizen
so here we are in North Carolina where I lived 35 years ago,
my son grew up and has lived since.
Living conditions are less than ideal
adjustment for me intellectually and emotionally not to mention physically. I’m where I’m supposed to be taking care of my son
This is a landmark month In a way. As he is terminally ill and was given five months, which is now. It’s a hard situation here. He is holding his own and in several ways he’s better.
I’m still cooking a lot and learning to use both new airfryer(not new but sitting on shelf 2 years) and toaster oven -a gift. Both multi function and very complex/sophisticated for me who prefers on/off as functions

Freeze some lasagna, please. Wrap it up well and send it to me. It can thaw on the way and when it gets here it will be the perfect temp. I love cold lasagna and it will feel so good on this throat.
