Poland won't allow Ukraine to join EU without resolving historical issues - Polish Prime Minister

Resolving historical issues is primarily in Ukraine's interest, as it will not become a member of the European Union without Poland's consent, according to the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.

As reported, on Wednesday, August 28, during a meeting between Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, Kuleba was asked about the historical issues that "divide our countries."

In response, Kuleba stated that if we start digging into history, Ukrainians and Poles could blame each other for various negative events. Therefore, it would be better for both countries to build the future together and leave history to historians.

Then Germany demands their lands back from the same agreements which changed borders....

Poland is a squeeky opertunist mouse. They are becoming another EU liability, and possible problem for NATO.

Simple. If they had followed through on the 3 different accords tey signed, instead of oroving to be liars, this could have ended anytime before 6 Aug 24. Ukraine’s sigature isn’t worth paper to which they sign.

Minsk I and II were western deceptions. Budapest was another run out the clock set of lies by the boys from Bandaras.

Ukrainian government even scuttled ongoing negotiations on 6 Aug 24.

India, UAE, China all no longer see any chance of Ukrsine good faith.

The discussion about Ukraine turning over nukes was before an antiRussian government got in power.

Had Ukraine not been intent on ethenic cleansing of all cultures not “Ukrainian” due to the Bandaras influence, Russia would not have had to start the denazification process which is ongoing.

Ukraine could impridon all their nazi Bandaras’ racists, and it might be enough to gain some trust with Brics or Russia to end the war.

The short answer is for Ukraine to self police tjrir nazi problem at any date past or present. The nazi Azov problem is the single nonnegotiable issue, and it would also solve MI6/CIA liasion.

Of course, Zelinski would not survive a purge of Bandaras Azov nazis... but if he wanted it to end or cared about his fellow countrymen he should risk his life for the greater goid.

“Yep, Poland is now in historical territory recovery mode. GIBS US BACK OUR LAND!”

Here goes the “beauty” of rus nazi propaganda. There's no word about changing borders or anything even close to that, It's about proper burial of WW2 victims. But a horde of trolls will keep pushing that utter nonsense.

Yes, Poland gave Ukraine $20 billion of military aid when Ukes are defending themselves against invasion from the east because they want Ukrainian land, the kacap “logic”.

"Don’t forget Germany “invaded” Poland in 1939 because Poland took the German land first!"

The competiotion is running high in this thread but you still made it to win the prize.

Sikorski and Tusk are scumbags but their position on Ukraine is no different than that of the previous Polish gov.

The rus propaganda is simply desperately trying to create the impression that the western support for Ukraine is collapsing.

Churchill personally was not 'tossed aside' - he was elected by a large majority in 1945, and continued to be so until his eventual retirement from Parliament shortly before his death. Indeed for his later elections the other two main parties didn't put up candidates to stand against him - a unique honour. He became PM again only 5 years after 1945 - the only general election he ever won as party leader.

What was 'tossed aside' in 1945 was the domestic policy of the Conservative party, not Churchill. The 'rejection' of Churchill is a myth largely confined to commentators habituated to a presidential system.

Sorry pal. Poland was not one of the good guys. Between the world wars they stole land from almost all of their neighbors. he most disgusting acts were bullying Lithuania for Vilnius and then backstabbing Czecho-slovakia after Munich to steal the Cieszyn district.

“Well, time will tell…”

So what’s your estimated timeline for the Polish annexation of western Ukraine ? You Peepers have been “predicting” that since 3 years.

“they stole land”

Sorry Peepr, but “somehow” people in those “stolen” lands weren't objecting. The post WW1 borders in Central Europe were drawn as cluelessly as the borders in post-colonial Africa.

After officials and institutions in Ukraine – including the national parliament – marked the birth anniversary of nationalist leader Stepan Bandera, Polish government figures have criticised the commemoration of a man they see as responsible for the genocide of ethnic Poles and Jews.

Despite Poland and Ukraine having forged an extremely close alliance against Russian aggression this year, remembrance of World War Two history – and in particular the massacre of up to 100,000 Polish civilians by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) – continues to be a bone of contention.

Save it, you’re a proud nationalist ready to justify any dirty deed your country does. Well, this is an American forum and we don’t care much for your dirty European ethnic and religious disputes.

“I have no idea.”

Clearly. But nevertheless you wrote dozens of posts about that and will keep doing so.

No one in Poland wants these lands as simply:
1. They are poor and ruined.
2. We would have to deal with UPA 2.0 insurgency.

The whole issue doesn't exist outside of rus propaganda.

“Well, this is an American forum and we don't care much for your dirty European ethnic and religious disputes.”

Must be the reason why 90% of your posts refer to our dirty European ethnic and religious disputes. The Peeper “logic” again.

“Save it”

I won't save it when I see a noob spreading Neo-nazi revisionism. The same user also praised Stalin on another thread. So neo-nazism and neo-stalinism going hand in hand with Peeper-ism, nothing unusual.

“Everything you say is correct.”

He said nothing, just copy/pasted a part of the linked article describing the “historical issues”. The whole concept of a “Nazi Kiev regime” is a KGB manufactured garbage but during WW2 quite a few Ukrainians were involved in nasty things including massacres of Polish and Jewish civilians.

The independent Ukrainian state was not mature enough to deal with that issue, they were even causing problems with exhumations. These are the “historical issues” Tusk and the other clown were talking about and If the Ukes do not change that approach, they can forget about the post-war reconstruction aid and other such things. That's it. Nothing to do with annexing anything or even stopping the war time support. So you Peepers as usual are spreading rus disinformation, just like with “biolabs”, 1 million Uke KIAs, Kiev in 3 days, Zele villas and all the nonsense. KGB propaganda 24/7, take it and shove it up.

"Churchill personally was not 'tossed aside' - he was elected by a large majority in 1945..."

I think you better get a history lesson, because Churchill indeed lost the July 1945 election to Clement Atlee, who served as Prime Minister of England until October 1951, when he was replaced by Winston Churchill. If you won't do the research, to provide the actual facts, don't bother commenting.
