Resolving historical issues is primarily in Ukraine's interest, as it will not become a member of the European Union without Poland's consent, according to the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
As reported, on Wednesday, August 28, during a meeting between Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, Kuleba was asked about the historical issues that "divide our countries."
In response, Kuleba stated that if we start digging into history, Ukrainians and Poles could blame each other for various negative events. Therefore, it would be better for both countries to build the future together and leave history to historians.

Yep, Poland is now in historical territory recovery mode. GIBS US BACK OUR LAND!
There are other Ukrainian neighbors having similar LAND RECOVERY thoughts. Have your popcorn supply laid on for next year.
“Historical issues”? Do the Poles want the Ukes to give back Lwów and Tarnopol?
Ask the Russians about Uke Nazis.
Polaks. Don’t those nations have a way to fix their legitimate grievances? Is it a ‘you can’t have it back’ attitude.
It’s hard to surprise we guys who know history.
What do you think? When NATO is done with Ukraine, the nation will be prostrate before its historically good buddy NATO neighbors.
No nation should even be considered for NATO membership that cancels elections, while sending its men and boys to die in a useless proxy war.
Poland just looking for a way out of this one way relationship.
🇵🇱Poland is not even considering the possibility of shooting down missiles over Ukrainian territory, said Deputy Minister of National Defense of the Republic Pavel Zalevsky.
This statement was made in response to Zelensky’s whining that the Poles are slacking off and not helping to fight back, and are simply afraid of such actions. - ISZ
I like movie theater, extra butter, myself.
Well, if we are restoring historic borders, let’s not forget East Prussia, Pomerania, and Silesia. Let’s leave Elsaß-Lothringen and Sudetenland off the table for this round.
Have you seen the 2016 Polish film Volhynia (also rendered as “Volhyn” or “Wolyn” and sometimes titled “Hatred” in English)?
It’s quite good. I watched it with English subtitles a year or so ago on You Tube, but now it looks like it’s gone. You can watch it for free on Amazon Prime, Tubi, Freevee or Crackle now, though.
Very well done, worth watching, no wonder it won awards. Oh, and it’s banned in Ukraine.
So the Poles want de-Nazification as well?
It’s not a free country. That alone disqualifies them.
Putin called this, as did I, a year ago. When NATO walks away from Ukraine, Poland will RETAKE a slice of Rump Ukraine.

…and Romania, Hungary should reclaim their historic lands. The best we can hope for is a tiny rump nation of Ukraine, flushing down the toilet the US’s dreams of being used to war with Russia.
The Ukrainian people will be far better off.
Get a load of my new tagline. Are you a Bob and Ray fan?
Ukrainians ran the gas chambers?
A rose by any other name….
Bear in mind, we are talking about bloodthirsty, fratricidal Europeans. That’s one of the things that distressed me when this started. Donbas had literally changed hands 25 times, at least, since 1914.
This was going to the most bloodless, under 100,000 total casualties, until that warmongering, mop headed stooge showed up in April ‘22.
Polish President Andrzej Duda before the summit in Switzerland: "If Putin wants Russian soldiers to die en masse in Ukraine, everything must be done to ensure that these expectations are met."
