(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire, or both.)

Yes, it’s a shame. Should have been executed 30 years ago.

Why’d they execute him in the forest?

The lawyers also argued Cole shouldn’t be executed because he was mentally ill and had brain damage and Parkinson’s disease. Not to worry, that's all cleared up now.

Recommend to work on your reading comprehension. Neither the headline nor the excerpt were misleading.

In town, in the forest, or at the seashore. It doesn't matter to me as long as he was executed.

Actually, the perpetrator killed his victims in the forest.

Stringing an already condemned man’s life for 30 years post conviction, could be seen as cruel and inhuman.
Just get it over with. There should be a limitation to appeals and an overall schedule of carrying out the execution. There are times when keeping someone alive is a worse punishment than a firing squad. Especially, when the inmate has become too dangerous to be living with anyone should they ever be paroled.

I agree. The perpetrator should be executed one day after the sentence is handed down and no last meal.

I’ve thought about this a bit.
Death penalty in the USA is a joke
and I don’t trust the justice system
anyway.
Life in prison solitary confinement
may be a better(and cheaper)way to go.

The Last Meal is a rather strange tradition leftover from when America was still a new union. I speculate the meals were offered mainly to make it easier for the jailers to carry out their roles in the upcoming execution. To assuage any misplaced guilt feelings.
All I know, is if I was scheduled for execution, that would make me lose my appetite in a hot second.
Of course, before I semi retired, I never even liked business lunches. I always would wonder, what is the real reason for this little “lunch”? Especially if it was out of the ordinary.
