The FBI said Saturday it is helping Mexican authorities investigate the fatal shooting of two Arizona women in the Mexican state of Sonora.
The Attorney General’s Office of Sonora said both victims, ages 72 and 82, were found shot dead inside an overturned pickup truck Friday morning on the Sonoyta-Caborca highway.
Officials said an abandoned Ford F-150 pickup truck in the town of Quitovac was connected to the shooting after authorities discovered a stash of AK-47-style rifles, loads of ammo and ballistic vests inside the vehicle.

No way would I travel to Mexico, Central, or South America anymore. As a matter of fact I don’t want to travel outside of this country. Plenty to see and do right here, enough for me anyway. R.I.P. Excuse my trigger fingers. I did not read this correctly, seems the old ladies were involved in something criminal, or was made to look like they were. Very strange for women that old to be involved with gun running. Strange they were in a pickup truck also. Many women drive pickup trucks, but not too many older ones. Strange.
People really need to think of their safety and avoid killing zones like Mexico, the middle east, Chicago, etc.

I’ve traveled to some pretty sketchy places (check my profile page for details)...mostly in my younger years...but I’ve never set foot in Mexico...and never will.
You don’t want to travel to many US cities anymore either.
I worked in southern Sonora from 1996-1998. Wasn’t too bad then, but I wouldn’t go anywhere in Mexico now for any reason.
You’re right. I’ve been to Tijuana and Ensenada in Mexico. More afraid of being in some bad neighborhoods of Democrat cities, couldn’t get out quick enough from USA cities due to conditions.
No interest in cities. Small towns, country is what I want.
