RFK Jr responds to drama within Kennedy family, wife's discomfort after Trump endorsement
Fox News ^ | 8/25/24 | Anders Hagstrom

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. responded to criticism he has faced from his wife and other members of the Kennedy family on Sunday after endorsing former President Trump.

Kennedy faced questions about the family drama during an appearance on "Fox News Sunday" with host Shannon Bream. Bream referenced a letter from Kennedy's siblings condemning his endorsement on Friday.

"You know, my family is at the center of the Democratic Party. I have members of my family that are working for the Biden administration. Biden has a bust of my father behind him at the Oval Office, and he's been a family friend for many years," Kennedy said.

"My family is – I understand that they're troubled by my decisions. I love my family. I feel like we were raised in a milieu where we were encouraged to debate each other and debate ferociously and passionately about things and still love each other," he added. "They're free to take their positions on these issues. There are many, many members of my family working at my campaign and who are supporting me."

It’s true Democrats of the past were far more honest and sincere in their beliefs and were patriots at heart. They abhorred corruption and truly wanted world peace and prosperity.

But let’s not forget that it was their misplaced trust in government solutions and military appeasement that brought us to the ruination we face today.

The Kennedys were socialists and surrender monkeys like any other Democrats.

“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”

Sorry JFK - screw that. That’s just socialism in patriotic clothing. The Founders intended the State to serve the Individual, not the other way around.

I’ll ask what my country can do for me - thank you very much - and the answer is that it can protect my rights and freedoms as an individual.

Yes, the Democrats of the 1960s were better than today’s scum - but that’s not saying much.

Outside of my father and I, they (relatives) were/are dimocraps. My brother went as far as to call me a traitor. I told him to get real if you believe the dims lies. Needless to say, he did not like my answer.

What RFK Jr. did on Friday was an act of tremendous political courage. I listened to his speech and watched a lot of the commentary, positive and negative. Bobbie Jr. reminded me a lot of his father and uncle, for all their virtues and failings. I think they would have been tremendously proud of the stand he's taken.

Friday night, I built a fire in our backyard as my 6 year old wanted to camp out. As I was going to sleep under the stars, inside my head, I heard Dion singing, those words from the late '60s, "Anybody here seen my old friend Bobbie?"

I answered to myself, "Yes. We saw him today."

I hope it’s some more political outsiders along the lines of Elon Musk - titans of industry or major celebrities. The Left’s eight-year character assassination of President Trump has done a huge amount of damage to his public image, especially with the lower IQ types who are so easily brainwashed.

It helps his reputation immeasurably to have an actual Kennedy and the richest man in the world as allies. Some additional world class names might go along way toward changing impressionable minds.

The Pope, perhaps? Just kidding - but you get my point

“Who do you think he is referring to?”

It would be a hoot if Dershowitz were to be brought in for some position. (Not AG for sure, but something.)

Kennedy is liberal, (NOT marxist) quirky, eccentric, even a little whacky. He also is very bright and has some excellent ideas.

It’s hard being an outcast in a family. I hope he and Trump each know this may be a sometimes rocky alliance. But- it has the potential to be a brilliant one. We’ll see.

He did reach out to them first. Now he may have known the outcome in advance, but he can say he went to them first.

I don’t recall any of RFK Jr.’s relatives complaining out loud when the Democrats were playing dirty pool to keep him off the ballot. Apparently, they were okay with what the Democrats were doing to RFK Jr.

It could also be someone like Joe Rogan.
Who gets trashed here all the time, BUT he(and Tucker) have the number one podcast in the country.
His audience is made up of mostly young men.
Which, are probably already voting for Trump.

I have no interest in hearing a word from people, in this case Kennedys, who have never had to go to work, manage a home and family within a budget of what your pay is, run a business on the revenue from that business (and NOT Kennedy trusts), meet payroll, struggle to pay for tuition for your kids ... any of this.

The Kennedy family might as well be pontificating about the history of the Mesopotamians. They know NOTHING about it. The Kennedy family and all their spawn are completely divorced from what people have to deal with.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if it was Bernie Sanders - he had the Democrat party nomination stolen from him twice.

“It’s Moore not Morris!”

That’s your criticism? I have seen it transcribed both ways. How is anyone to know which is correct?

Because I live in Massachusetts and I KNOW what his middle name is, it was never transcribed ANYWHERE HERE as Morris, it's Edward Moore Kennedy.

The media and the democrats... always fall back to their default position of Trump being Hitler, since Trump was alone, but now they cannot apply that smear to Kennedy and Musk with any credibility.

Very wise observation, odawg.
