Rumble CEO Escapes France after Telegram CEO Is Arrested for Not Censoring Free Speech – Vows to Fight French Tyrants in Courts for Right to Freedom of Expression
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8/25/24 | Jim Holt

Rumble CEO Chris Pavolvski announced on Sunday that he has escaped France and departed communist Europe.

Pavlovski, who runs one of the largest social media companies in the world in Rumble, has always vowed to make his platform an oasis for free speech unlike the far-left tyrants at Google-YouTube who allow leftists to spew unlimited amount of lies but will not allow conservative voices a voice on the platform without restrictions.

Pavlovski wrote on X:

Chris Pavlovski: I’m a little late to this, but for good reason — I’ve just safely departed from Europe.

France has threatened Rumble, and now they have crossed a red line by arresting Telegram’s CEO, Pavel Durov, reportedly for not censoring speech.

They make good wines, and I hear their cheeses are good, but I hate cheese. Their language is ridiculous, with silly-a@@ed spelling, farkakte phonetics, and lots of pretentious minor poets.

But Italy is also hilly.

WTH? Is that supposed to be some kind of trashy slander?

Please settle down, FRiend. There was no slander intended here.

"Gay Paris", with Paris pronounced in the French fashion: "pair 'EE", is an old phrase, where 'gay' is used in the old sense- "fun, carefree, happy". It was used a lot in the 1950's (if not earlier) to describe Paris as a desirable place to visit. It has nothing to do with homosexuality.

In stating "islam is a totalitarian death cult founded by a child rapist." poster Uncle Miltie is stating a truth that Jim Robinson might state- but also warning with the follow-on "Hey, Jim! No more trips to gay Paris for you!" that were JimRob to state such in France today, he's likely to be arrested on some nonsense bullsh*t politically-correct charge, thus no more 'carefree' [gay] Paris visits for JimRob, because Free Speech is clearly dead there. (Which is topical, because that's the exact reason for the CEO of Telegram being arrested).

He's not slandering Jim Robinson- he's pointing out the dark irony of how far Paris, and by extension France and the EU, have fallen since being beacons of free speech and (actual) tolerance in the post-WWII era- they're now leftwing totalitarian free speech suppressing sh*tholes. Mere wreckage of the free 'Gay Paris' of old...

Read Amity Shales work on the Great Depression - “The Forgotten Man & New Deal Rebels: An Anthology of Critics of the New Deal”. It’s pretty clear that the FDR administration in trying to handle the depression was Fascist by the textbook definition. An American form of Fascism they even tried to suppress critics through federal regulation and the courts. If you look you can find FDR & his New Deal gurus praising Mussolini economic projects in the press, all of course prior to December 1941. In the 1920s-1930s Fascism & Socialism\Communism was the rage among intellectuals and the academy. Everything FDR & pals tried economically failed or limped along a mediocrity. In fact, almost all their programs were similar to Hoover’s actions. If those actions did anything they increased the depression duration. Of course, Hoover got all the blame through a compliant media and academia. It took the war to change focus plus eventually if you leave the economy alone it will cycle out of a depression. Only now almost a 100 years later an honest assessment is being done.

Rumble is constantly under attack by the radical globalist left. Companies like Dunkin Donuts and Diageo alcoholic beverages announced they would leave the platform based on its free speech policies.

Rumble and X (thank you Mr. Musk for buying it) allow free speech. Per the left this is a crime.

Eons ago (probably in the 1980s) the “New American” magazine ran a side by side comparison of Franklin Roosevelt’s economic and governmental policies with those of Benito Mussolini. They were virtually identical. Roosevelt was a fascist without the funny salutes. The honest assessment was done at least 40 years ago.

I’m not disagreeing with your point. Destruction of Nazi Germany was the goal. Norway, Denmark, most of the Netherlands, the Channel Islands, and French port cities were bypassed despite the suffering the people of those places endured right until the surrender of Germany.

Everybody loved Fascism in the early 30s, before Hitler and Mussolini showed their dark sides.

I didn’t subscribe to that magazine, so I didn’t see it. It was probably quickly buried so now other media outlet would pick it up.

This isn't just a problem in France or Britain. Both Macron, who has no right to even remain in power, and Starmers are following the directives of their globalist puppet masters.

Hang for a lamb, hang for an ewe. They have a problem with free speech. I have a problem with mutilating children, attacking people on the streets, grooming teenagers for prostitution, anti-Semitism and violence motivated by it, and identity politics, with all of which they are either tacitly or openly fine. So f@#$ them and f@#$ their f@#$ing vendetta against free speech.

You must be using an ad blocker or something. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to rumble I have to sit through 5 seconds of 2 ads before the ‘skip ad’ button pops up.

Well, something must be done for the CEO of Telegram, as it was for Tommy Robinson. But I don’t know how to go about it, since I know nothing about France. Does anybody know where he’s being held?

Ignoramus. It was called “gay Paree” (frog accent) for decades. Gay as in happy or carefree… so essentially he said no more trips to Paris in the spring. It was humor, a wry acknowledgment that Paris is no longer its blissful 1955 setting.

Get it? I can translate obscure cultural references anytime.

Yes, I use an ad blocker, actually several.

uBlock Origin
Ghostery
Cookie Autodelete

That combination nukes nearly all ads.

It’s unfortunate you had to spend your time educating some people on common sense stuff

In fairness, I'm not sure understanding that sense of the phrase "Gay Paris" is all that common anymore.

I'm in my 30s, and the only reason I know that phrase is because my mother (herself born in 60s, after the heyday of that phrase), grew up watching reruns of 50's musicals...

But whatever. We help each other out, and try to understand things. That is to say, we on the Right seek Truth.

To me, this is what makes Christian forgiveness so important in a practical sense- we're all imperfect, and all screw up- but with the forgiveness and help of others, we can overcome that and better ourselves.

That helps differentiate us from the Left, which constantly changes the rules and meanings of things, then turns around and permanently condemns those who don't keep up with their arbitrary crap. They have no Truth, no actual principles, only that which is expedient to maintaining power in the moment.

So I'm happy to help. In due time, I'll surely need someone's help myself. Could be as soon as 5 seconds from now. I dunno. And that's kinda the point. I'm imperfect. We're all imperfect. We all need God's grace and each others' forgiveness to overcome that perfection.

Thankfully, that grace and forgiveness can be given when others worship something other than temporal power...

It’s the same ilk who stole the election and support Zelensky and foist woke agenda

They want tech bros to obliterate contrary info dissemination

Same folks jailing British patriots as we speak

This is what we’re up against folks

The western behemoth of control

Deep state etc

It’s uniparty and permeates the west

They loathe that the web is a source contrary to the traditional medias they control

Or it could be the other way around here

Traditional media power is equal to or superior to the uniparty political power

Telegram etc is a threat to that
