Eons ago (probably in the 1980s) the “New American” magazine ran a side by side comparison of Franklin Roosevelt’s economic and governmental policies with those of Benito Mussolini. They were virtually identical. Roosevelt was a fascist without the funny salutes. The honest assessment was done at least 40 years ago.
Everybody loved Fascism in the early 30s, before Hitler and Mussolini showed their dark sides.
I didn’t subscribe to that magazine, so I didn’t see it. It was probably quickly buried so now other media outlet would pick it up.
