To Avoid DOJ Entrapment, Trump Says He Doesn't Want Intel Briefings

Donald Trump told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that he doesn’t want briefings from U.S. intelligence agencies because it could lead to him being accused of leaking classified information.

‘I don’t want them, because, number one, I know what’s happening. It’s very easy to see what’s happening … because as soon as I get that, they’ll say that I leaked it,” he said.

“So, the best way to handle that situation is, I don’t need that briefing. They come in, they give you a briefing, and then two days later, they leak it, and then they say, ‘You leaked it’ … So the only way to solve that problem is not to take it I don’t want it understood. I’ll have plenty of them when I get in,” he said.

According to the Daily Mail, intelligence briefings have been regularly given to presidential nominees since President Harry Truman introduced them in the early 1950s.

Former presidents also typically receive briefings, but the Biden regime barred Trump from receiving them when it took control in 2021.

“I just think that there is no need for him to have the intelligence briefings,” Joe Biden reportedly said weeks after assuming office.

The FBI has shown itself to be willing to kill Trump over allegations of mishandling info.

In August 2022, the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach as part of the Justice Department’s investigation of him mishandling classified information. Search warrants unsealed earlier this year revealed that the FBI authorized the use of deadly force in that raid - in a move federal agents deemed “standard operating procedure,” but which received heavy criticism from conservatives and libertarians.

A federal judge in Florida dismissed the classified documents-related criminal case against Trump last month, saying the appointment of special counsel Jack Smith violated the Constitution. The DOJ has appealed that decision.

The case could be appealed and go all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. The basis for arguing that Smith was illegitimate was initially laid out in an amicus curiae brief by former Ronald Reagan attorney general Ed Meese that was filed with the Supreme Court for Trump v. U.S., the case considering Trump’s presidential immunity in Smith’s Washington, D.C., case.

A sad state of affairs when a leading Presidential candidate has to refuse intel briefings - but given the players on the other side, it’s the right decision.

Agree, Vivek is a rare breed with 2 biggest brass round objects to effect a change. Most others are just politicians who get rich in the swamp. The will never kill the golden goose.

“Dirt naps- yes”

Don’t be a barbarian about this!

I’m totally OK with extended periods of solitary confinement alternated with periods of sensory/food deprivation as well as waterboarding.

OK, well maybe we can throw in occasional shocks from a cattle prod as well.

Appoint Vivek as the Swamp Killer. Forensic accounting audits of the top personnel in the FBI and CIA. I bet their balance sheets will be shocking.

I like the idea.

Hmmmmmm... JFK tried to break up the Intel cabal after they stabbed him in the back over the Bay of Pigs.

We all know how that turned out.

So on the one hand, he's saying, "Yeah, brave and loyal SS covered me with their own bodies, etc., etc." but then he says this sort of thing, namely, "I don't trust any of these CIA people, they do this sort of thing to double-cross me all the time, etc., etc."

It will be interesting to see what changes and what upheavals he will introduce after the election, if indeed he is reelected.

I used to dismiss claims that the CIA was involved in JFK's assassination, but after what I have seen happen in the last two decades, I now take such claims more seriously.

The conspiracy nuts have had a pretty good track record of being proven right.

Just ask the Manhattan Oil Slick, Charles Schumer, about the intel “community” and how many ways they have to get you.

Once he starts the finger pointing will be hot and heavy. The CYA will be massive. There will be no whistle-blowers, it would be trumpet players.

Start with those 51 signers of lies about Hunters laptop.

Strip their classifications, take away their pensions and try them for treason.

Just watch the cockroaches scramble.

I don’t disagree with you, but it appears to me we are headed to massive civil unrest...no matter who wins.

Routing out our own corruption vs. the corruption is already setting the stage for nuclear world war.

We just might look back and think these days weren’t so bad by this time next year.

Every government agency has been thoroughly corrupted. They are like the media: there is a dark, ulterior motive for everything they do and say.

These are people whose every intention is evil and dishonest all day long. They have such complete and blind faith in their own ideology that there is no crime they will not commit in furtherance of it. No matter how much suffering they inflict on themselves or others they will never learn or reconsider. Because they can never accept, see, or understand their own failings, they can never forgive anyone else theirs.
