In the months following October 7, Fetterman has become the bête noire of progressive activists who have booed him outside the Capitol; descended on his home in Braddock, Pennsylvania; and who have demonstrated outside his Philadelphia office every Friday for months chanting, “Let Gaza live,” and “Cease-fire now.” Online they call him “Genocide John.”
In his conversation with Peter, Fetterman insisted none of this bothered him. But apparently they bother a member of his staff.
After his interview with the senator, Peter’s phone rang. It was Fetterman’s communications director, Carrie Adams, who wanted to make clear that she doesn’t agree with her boss on Israel and Gaza.
“I have a sense that his international views are a lot less nuanced than my generation, because when he was growing up, it was might makes right, and for my generation and younger who, of course, are the ones protesting this, they have a much more nuanced view of the region,” said the 30-something Adams of the 55-year-old senator.
It was an astonishing moment. As Peter writes, “I’ve been a reporter since the summer of 1998, when I covered Bill Clinton’s trip to Martha’s Vineyard for the Vineyard Gazette. This was the first time I’d ever encountered anyone—on Capitol Hill or anywhere else, on the record, off the record, on background, whatever—criticizing ‘the principal.’ ”

Carrie Adams has a pretty ignorant and stupid view of matters I would say. I wonder if her “nuanced” views would change any if some terrorist were to bomb her apartment.
"Nuanced" as in "Kill all Jews."
I expect that she will have plenty of time to reflect on these nuances while she is collecting unemployment.
These Jew-haters are pushing Fetterman out of their putrid party.
I would imagine her nuanced view would change quickly if she was gang raped before she was ever put on the back of a pick up truck kidnapping her, like Hamas terrorists did to many Jewish young ladies on October 7.
Little Carrie only cares about the Palestinian “nuances” and ignores the missiles lobbed at Israel throughout the year.
She has smart girl glasses, so she must be right
Fetterman is popular in Pennsylvania. His often independent stances have even impressed some conservatives (see the picture below). Fetterman is up for re-election in 2028. It will be interesting to see if the DNC will support a primary opponent.
By the way, That’s also Fetterman on the right. He waving an Israeli flag from his roof at pro-Palestinian demonstrators. That takes a bit of guts, I would think.
SOOOOOOOO—DOES SHE STILL HAVE HER JOB???
SHE WOULD NOT IF SHE DID THAT TO ME.
Does Fetterman deliver PA (and the election) for Trump?
“SHE WOULD NOT IF SHE DID THAT TO ME.”
I agree. She has no business publicly undercutting her boss.
Her and I would have a private one on one conversation that went along these lines...
“Ms. Adams, I value your opinion. I do. I like to hear from all sides. Having said that, DO NOT ever contradict me publicly again. If you do not feel that you can abide by this, you may wish to reconsider your employment with this office.”
Yeah. Good point.
I’d fire her immediately.
Pennsylvania Ping!
Please ping me with articles of interest.
FReepmail me to be added to the list.
No second chance,fire her NOW!
He’s skipping it because Deep State doesn’t want him out and about in public.
Sound familiar...?
