American Airlines has canceled all its operations in Israel until April 2025.
All flights to the USA until this date are canceled in both directions, Israeli media reported.

Imagine how much loss to Israel has happened since the end of tourism there as of the Hamas atrocities last Fall.
Did AA do this for political or safety reasons? To be fair, flying in and out of what might turn into a hot war zone might not be the safest thing to do.

Great question. It would be of value for American Airlines to explain itself. But I suppose they are too cowardly to do so.

Not due to the political situation because nobody knows how long that’s going to last. They can’t predict Israel will be safe by next April.
Good. A real entrepreneur can step in and take their gate times, locking them out.
Smart thing for them is to say nothing. And see what the situation will be like by April. We'll find out more in November

Yes, that’s probably the smart thing to do. But it’s not the honorable thing to do. I can see a potential visitor to Israel saying “American Airlines has cancelled its flights. Maybe I shouldn’t go either.”
AA is a private company. It can do whatever it wishes. But that traveler deserves better. As do we all. It’s a matter of decency.
They’re wanting to get President Donald J. Trump in charge of the World again. Then they will resume Operations.
Was it not AA planes that flew into the Twin Towers?
And didn’t AA get all pissy when the now censored “Path to 9-11” film reveal its disregard for the related Boston flight irregularities?
Should we conclude that AA turns a blind eye to terrorism?
