Vance is one of the least popular vice-presidential picks this century.
It's important to make a good first impression — whether you're on a first date, interviewing for a job or running to be vice president of the United States. And the two men who recently joined the Republican and Democratic presidential tickets have made very different first impressions.
According to 538's new polling average of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's favorable and unfavorable ratings, the Democratic candidate for vice president has an unusual quality for a modern politician: He's well liked. As of Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. Eastern, 38 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of him, and 33 percent have an unfavorable opinion of him.
Democrats' initial branding of Walz — as a paternal former teacher, coach and National Guardsman — seems to have caught on, especially immediately after he was announced as Vice President Kamala Harris's running mate, when multiple polls found him with a double-digit positive net favorability rating (favorable rating minus unfavorable rating). Since then, his unfavorable rating has risen a bit faster than his favorable rating as Republicans have accused him of exaggerating his military service, but he still has a solid +5-point net favorability rating on average.
By contrast, Americans aren't vibing with the Republican vice-presidential nominee. On average, only 33 percent have a favorable opinion of Sen. JD Vance, while 42 percent have an unfavorable one.

The MSMwhores spent 100x more time investigating Sarah Palin’s pregnant teenage daughter - when she was only a candidate - then they have Joe Biden’s degenerate career-criminal son - when he was VP & POTUS
Vance used discipline, hard work and the Marine Corps to exit poverty. This path will not be followed by many democratic voters.
Strange. I do not remember Palin being UN popular! She was so popular the Republicans had to hold her back so the democrats would have a chance to win.
Something I wrote back in 2020.
After years of watching Presidential elections, I have come to the conclusion that there is an under the table handshake between the two parties to share the Office of the President.
When one party has a strong candidate the other party then runs a weak candidate. Think of McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry and Gore as the weak ones against strong Republican candidates.
Then think of Dole, McCain and Romney as weak candidates against strong Democrat candidates. When Sarah Palin became too popular at campaigning the Republicans held her back.
As for the 2016 election, Hillary was the chosen strong candidate against a man who was not a politician. She was already deemed the President, polls and interviews showed she was going to be the winner no matter what. No need to “cheat”.
The Election was just a formality, the magazines declaring her the winner had already been printed.
One problem. TRUMP overwhelmingly won, throwing everything into a cocked hat. Since that time the elites that secretly decide elections have worked overtime to remove Trump.
In the last election Trump drew thousands to his rallies but Biden drew maybe a bus load and flies. The election showed Trump ahead till thousands of suddenly, under mysterious circumstances, “found” votes gave it to Biden. The “Fix” was in. They could not afford to let Trump win.
I still believe the same today.
Wish they were dead. Quite the opposite.
They are alive and well, the propaganda arm of the Democrat party and full-blown Marxist.
They influence a huge percentage of our brain-washed populace.
And we have no counter for them.
She was “unpopular” with the Democrapts, socialists, commies, and the media.
I grew up in an upper middle class neighborhood in the 60s and ‘70s. Most families had an average of three children.
Most of the dad’s were small business owners or professionals with their own private practice. And most of the moms were housewives.
At the time, nobody knew about sushi or sun-dried tomatoes or kimchi. An exotic vacation was a trip to London or Paris or Rome.
And parents spent a lot of money sending their kids to summer camp.
The modern obsession with travel is due to a combination of many more people who don’t have children or just one kid.
And many more people working at corporate/ government jobs, where they can go away on trips and not have to worry about who’s minding the store when they’re gone.
As well as people being less religious, and therefore, less community oriented.
Exactly!
McCain was an Orc
I’ve also heard he’s been losing popularity gaugings against Abraham Lincoln, Jesus Christ and Thomas Jefferson. Oh where is my fainting couch???
McCain was a Gollum...I so thought he was an Orc but that photo settles things.
I would not drop a duece on ABC or most other “news” outlets.
