On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNBC’s “Power Lunch,” New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) said that in the next weeks, the Harris-Walz campaign should do “more of the same” even as the campaign gets more policy-focused.
Co-host Kelly Evans asked, “What do they need to do right in order to solidify the gains that they’ve made in the weeks that are to come, where we have the debate, it will get more policy-driven, I imagine. Everyone will be pressing for more details on what exactly they would do in office. What do you think?”

Remember, though, that Biden’s basement campaign ‘worked’. He never got out there, so people never became aware of how bad off he was. Murphy is suggesting Kackala do the same. If people never hear how horrible she is personally, and never learn how insane her policies are, the polls will be somewhat close. This makes their coming steal of the election plausible.
To my recollection, Obama made meaningless noises containing high sounding buy valueless terms like peace, freedom, justice, equity, etc. What this did was allow everyone to project into those words things they wanted to hear. If he had said, “We’re gonna take away your doctor and control the cost of your medical care, all the while making it better...somehow,” how well would he have done at the polls? Winning politicians attack their opponents while never giving away what policy they want. That’s because no matter the policy it will divide the voters into two camps. Those for it would have voted for you anyway. Those against who might have voted for you if you’d just shut up will stay home or vote for the other guy. (pg 58 “Politics for Dummies. Everhouse 2007.)
