The US has to be ready for what could be a significant set of attacks against Israel by Iran and its proxies, US National Security Communications adviser John Kirby told reporters in a virtual briefing Monday, as international diplomats raced to avert a regional war.
“We have increased our force posture and capabilities in the region even in just the last few days,” Kirby said, adding that “we have to be prepared for what could be a significant set of attacks.”
The most important step right now is making sure that "Israel can defend itself and that we, the United States, have in place the proper force to help them defend themselves,” Kirby said.

Have we warned Israel not to retaliate yet?
I mean Hamas is an Iranian project, and so is Hezbollah, so Iran is already attacking Israel and has been doing for decades.
I trust K about as afar as I can throw a rabid hippopotamus over the back fence
Why is that our problem? Hasn’t Iran, and Iranian proxies attacked Israel for decades? Always constant fud around.
I believe the two faced present government of the U.S. is not only ready for irans attack against Israel, I believe they are fueling it!
Significant to me means Iran using Tehran to detonate one of Israel’s nuclear devices.

Why is that our problem?

Well, to begin with Israel is our strongest ME Allie.
And you may not agree with the following, but since the question was asked, here’s the answer as to “why”
Genesis 12:3
King James Version
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
A letter of admonishment will be forthcoming if Israel escalates the action.
One of the Israeli lobby's talking points is, "We don't want America to defend us. Just give us the weapons and we'll defend ourselves!"
Apparently not.
The Iraq War was to a large extent at the behest of the Israeli lobby. I recall the Neocons claiming in 2002 that Saddam would nuke Israel very soon unless America intervened. And that Saddam was paying suicide bombers' families $25,000 per suicide bombing.
But now that Neocons are out of favor among MAGA conservatives, we're not supposed to remember that. We're supposed to pretend that America First means fighting for Israel, and not notice that it's really 2000s Neoconservatism.
The Iraq War was about defending Saudi Arabia.
And what is the basis of this "alliance", and what does this "ally" do that is beneficial to the United States?
Are you opposed to Israel? On what basis?
How about intelligence sources for one thing?
How about a Judeo Christian perspective?
Who would you rather the U.S. be aligned with in the M.E.?
Is Kirby the president? If not, for whom is he speaking?
And why was it that people who opposed attacking Iraq, such as Ron Paul, were called anti-Semites even when they never mentioned Jews or Israel when opposing the war?
That the Israeli lobby was pushing for the U.S. to attack Iraq is heavily documented in many books, included the two Neo-Conned volumes.
Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatowski also helped expose the Israeli lobby's push for the Iraq War.
Israel / CIA waxed the #1 Hamas guy. Good. He deserved it.
But they did it in the capital city of Tehran, on the inaguration day of their president. No country would allow an assassination of a foreign leader on its own soil and do nothing. Not a “Yay”. A stick in the eye and a dare. Albright famously bragged that 500,000 dead Iraqi kids was “worth it” in defending sanctions. We’ll see if this was “worth it”.
I want the U.S. to withdraw its military support from all nations in the Mideast and throughout the world. And let come what may.
Nope.
Who would you rather the U.S. be aligned with in the M.E.?
Nobody.
“The New York Times reports the Middle East is on the verge of an all-out war between Israel and Iran and its clients. The Ayatollah ordered Iran’s military to send missiles over Iraq into Israel Wednesday after Israel sent a missile over Iraq into Iran. It’s the first time Iraq ever celebrated Passover.”

I respect that opinion and I echo that in almost any other situation such as Ukraine for instance.
I take exception when it becomes Israel needing true assistance. Both in terms of military arms supply as well as intelligence sharing.
From a secular perspective, we can toss Israel to the wolves, but who do you think iran is coming for next? Not be cause we assist Israel, but because iran hates Christianity as much as they do Judaism.
And if we completely rule out intervention/assistance for any nation, who do we call upon when attacked on our own soil?
Yes, I get it, we should be defending our own borders from the current invasion. But we have a government that has betrayed not only U.S. citizens but our ally in Israel.
I have little doubt sleeper cells are embedded here in the U.S. That being said, should we expect any other nation to come to our aid when needed?
Yes, we can “choose” to turn a blind eye on Israel in their time of need, but know this, from a Christian perspective, God will turn a blind eye on the U.S. when we call upon Him in OUR time of need.
Matthew chapter 25 lays this out in regards to the Judgement of nations. The Sheep nations and the goat nations.
Scripture clearly tells us that one day all nations will turn against Israel.
From a Christian perspective once again, here is an outline of that warning...
