McCarthy tells Trump to stop questioning size of Harris’s crowds

Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) says former President Trump should stop questioning the size of Vice President Harris’s crowds at her campaign rallies and instead focus on her as a candidate.

“You’ve got to make this race not on personalities,” McCarthy said Monday in an interview on Fox News. “Stop questioning the size of her crowds and start questioning her position, when it comes to: What did she do as [California] attorney general on crime? … What did she do when she was supposed to take care of the border as a czar?”

The former Speaker said Trump should also hit Harris on inflation, noting she was the tiebreaking vote on key legislation that has come to define the Biden-Harris administration. He also urged Trump to attack Harris for changing her position on certain policy views in the last couple of years.

“they can speak out to inform Americans of what is actually in the Democrats border bill”

But who will listen? The people who need to hear it won’t hear it. They’re watching Kardashians and playing video games.

I disagree. His messaging is turning off voters in droves. Almost any other Republican would be doing better.

The time to say so is NOW before its too late.

Proof? Or your conjecture?

Trump doesn’t need to say anything himself - many popular posters on X are ripping apart the Harris campaign’s silly AI images for him.

And you know this how, exactly?

>”>Almost any other Republican would be doing better.”

You couldn’t be more wrong. Trump won a contested primary, handily. He’s the only Republican who knows how to win. And if he’s getting more heat than others it’s because the left fears him more than they do the others.

I’m not a professional pollster, but I was around a bunch of Trump supporters this weekend, and to a person they are disappointed with Trump’s lack of focus and discipline.
If Trump supporters feel this way, how do you think swing voters feel?

Trump won the primary due to Democrat’s version of Operation Chaos. They used lawfare to get Republicans to rally around Trump. They wanted Trump to be the GOP nominee.

And winning the primary is great , but it’s not nearly enough. Republicans are less than a third of the electorate and they need to win over another 15-20% for the general.

>>”Trump needs to stick to the issues and nothing but the issue”

No, Trump should focus on the issues but he shouldn’t ignore things like faking crowd sizes, etc. Why? Because there are a lot of voters who vote on things like that. Sadly, there are a lot of vapid voters out there to whom a Presidential election is nothing more than a popularity contest. Trump is fighting the PR war for their votes rather than conceding them to the Democrats.

In the mean time, he talks plenty about the policy differences between himself and Kamala, for those who actually care about such things.

Are you paid to peddle this tripe? I suppose the assassination near miss was similarly motivated? If you actually believe what you’re saying, you’re living in a different world than the rest of us.

Every minute you spend jabbering on about crowd size or 2020 is less time you spend on the issues. Sure he may cover it in his 90 minute diatribes but the person who he needs to win over isn’t going to listen for ninety minutes. They will tune him out. He should be able to say what he needs to say in 30-45 minutes. Sure his base will love the marathon speeches but he has already won them . They ain’t going anywhere.

I think McCarthy is right. He should magnify his own crowds and attack her record.

Ah, so “turning off voters in droves” was conjecture.

My experience is not the same. I see voters turned off... by kaMAHla.
