Shapiro was probably her best choice, but he was anathema to a big chunk of the democrat woke activist crowd because he is accused of being zionist adjacent. At this point, I think a Jewish VP pick would only be acceptable to the democrat base if he was virulently anti-Israel, celebrated Hamas as freedom fighters, and demanded a one-state solution and the right of return. So KH went with the dhimmi governor of Minnesota.
