Simone Biles recently won her fifth gold medal and eighth medal overall at the Paris 2024 Olympics, making her the most decorated American gymnast in Olympics history, as the Deseret News previously reported.

Biles, who is Catholic, has previously credited her faith in God for her success.

I don’t understand what political views has to do with her phenomenal gold medals achievement. No liberal or conservative woman has achieved what Biles achieved. But I guess some people view every person through political lens. I thought only liberals did that. Obviously I was wrong.

The only nexus most Catholics have with the Church is the Mass, where it appears to be forbidden to mention Christ’s effect on the individual’s values and person behavior.

That's funny, today at Mass the priest told us that the deaf and dumb man whom Christ healed was applicable to us, because if we don't further develop our knowledge and love of Christ, we too will become spiritually dead and dumb. He exhorted us to make sure that television and social media don't interfere with that.
