RICHMOND — Former congressman Denver Riggleman, a Virginia Republican who ran twice with Donald Trump’s backing but broke with him over the Jan. 6 insurrection, endorsed Vice President Harris for the White House on Sunday.
“I was heartbroken and horrified to see how close we came to losing our democracy on January 6, because of one man — Donald Trump,” Riggleman said in a statement released by Harris’s campaign. “I’ve seen with my own eyes how Trump’s thirst for power, revenge, and retribution is his real motivation, and that’s why I cannot stand by while he tries to destroy our country.”

You idea would work if Democrat voters were rational. They are not. They vote for Democrat policies that will destroy this country. Some of them realize this and approve of it because they feel that they are held back and don’t have the place in life that they feel they deserve because of the US culture, economy, capitalism, etc. they of course are life’s natural born losers. They will be at the bottom of the heap under any government because they are stupid, lazy, and have a bone deep unjustified sense of entitlement. So when Democrat politicians pander to their desires they vote Democrat. You can’t argue with or present a rational fact based discussion to them because they don’t accept facts. To slightly paraphrase Terry Goodkind “People are stupid. They can be made to believe any lie as long as they want it to be true or are afraid it is true.”

One has to wonder if Riggleman was one of the “persons familiar with Trump’s thinking” who was always leaking negative or false information to NYTs, WaPo, etc.
Riggleman was either bribed/extorted to turn on Trump or else he was never a conservative in the first place. It seems he gets his information from CNN and the usual media suspects and never looks deeper than the mainstream media for his information on the issues and especially January 6, 2021.
