President Joe Biden on Thursday hailed the complex prisoner-swap deal with Russia that freed unjustly imprisoned Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan, and two others in exchange for prisoners including Russian assassin Vadim Krasikov as a prodigious “feat of diplomacy.”
Biden said all four of the recovered prisoners were “convicted in show trials” by Russia “for absolutely no legitimate reason whatsoever.”
In addition to Gershkovich and Whelan, the freed detainees included Russian American journalist Alsu Kurmasheva and Vladimir Kara-Muza, a U.S. green-card holder and Washington Post contributor who was sentenced to 25 years in prison in April for speaking out against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Biden said he still has no reason to speak to Putin, or Russia. This prisoner exchange was conducted by multiple countries over the whinning of Ukraine. In fact, this is the first time some of these other nations worked with Russia thru diplomacy since the Ukrainian war started in 2022.
The bigger takeaway is that some countries in the West have moved on from the paralysis over Ukraine, signally that there is recent acknowledgement by NATO, EU, and US that Russia is going to win this war.
Ukraine has been told they had better not push their negotiations plans out 6-9 months. A Trump Admin is poised to cut off Ukraine on Day 1 if they haven’t meaningfully engaged in negotiations by his presidency. Of course Ukraine is holding out for Kamala but her and Zelinski didn’t get along well.
Kudos to the Western countries no longer being held hostage by their self imposed Ukraine War support, and getting on with the business of the welfare of the world.
When a reporter asked about Trump’s previous comment that he would have already had them released, Biden responded that Trump didn’t do so when he was President.
Two of the three hostages were taken under Biden’s Presidency.
They trot Biden out for a 2 or 3 minute rehearsed statement even if he has little current knowledge about the subject matter of the statement.
The big elephant in the room that the press (and even most in the GOP) is carefully ignoring is that if Biden is too mentally deficient to run for re-election, how is he allowed to remain in office for the next 6 months?
I bet later the excuse for any bad decisions made by Biden is that “well, he is suffering from dementia so we can’t blame him” yet he is allowed in office to apparently continue making those decisions. Much like the excuse Hur offered regarding the failure to prosecute Biden for the classified documents crime, Biden has a “get out of jail” free for any actions taken or any document signed.
That this travesty is allowed to continue shows just how far our nation has fallen.
Another question is the number of our nation’s enemy combatants that have been released from custody over the past few weeks. It’s almost as if someone is planning an attack on America before November, and those traitorous puppeteers behind Biden, and want all their players in place.
Plan C of taking out Trump failed so are they going with Plan D, an attack on U.S. soil?

Joe or whoever is running the show just released a bunch of monsters on the world for US hostages.

Who do you think Putin wants as President? Trump, a strong leader who will end the war and force Russia to withdraw from some of Ukraine it cost many Russian lives to win—or Kamala Harris, he can bribe, twist and manipulate into doing what he wants. Who would be a better war time leader? If WW III happens who do you want in charge of an enemy nation? A dumb as a sack of rocks woman or a sly fox? If Kamala wins—Putin might be able to get back Alaska? (Maybe not all of Alaska—just the part with all the oil).
